for you see my legs do pain me sorely, Dull aches through my legs have sharpened, I must from now on stretch more surely Still 'cross plains I watch them scurry, Their pounding feet 'gainst dew soaked grass, Legs all constant motion, a grim flurry Sun sheen on shoes, and all of glass And so I'll run until a stitch rends, 'til setting sun the moon eclipses, And like my runs this sonnet ends, In vaguely disappointed ellipsis But most of all I'm glad to see, I'm not as 'lone as I thought I'd be | ||
