That's not always true, but I figured it was at least an way to start it off.

I have a lot of scars that vary from 1/2 an inch to my largest being about 4 1/2 inches. I grew up next to a forest that got me into lots of bumps, cuts, bruises, and scars from playing in trees. I've also worked a couple of manual labor jobs that quickly lend themselves to situations where you can injure yourself.

My 3 favorite scars

3:This one is tiny and it's actually not a traditional scar that most people would think about. When I was somewhere between 5-8 I was swimming in a lake near my uncle/aunt's cabin. When I came out of the water there was a leech attached to the inside of my left pinky finger. I distinctly remember immediately freaking out and running around like I had been shot I was so petrified. I quickly found my father who removed it, but to this day I have a discolored section of red skin there like a tiny blood blister.

2: While hauling a washer and dryer working in construction a door fell on me. Not exactly, but fairly accurate. As we squeezed through the tight door frame it smacked it hard and I saw it begin to fall at me. I immediately saw the rusty nails sticking out and slowly falling towards me. I couldn't drop the drier or really avoid it so I clenched my teeth as 2 nails dug into my left arm and tore about an inch down each.

1: My coolest looking scar, but of all of the ones covering me probably the least interesting story. My cat gave it to me like 8 years ago. It's a long scar along the center of my chest that is 4 1/2 inches long. It's fairly pronounced. What's cool about it (besides actually digging the look) is anytime somebody sees it and asks I get to make up a ridiculous story. Saying I got in a knife fight at a bar usually gets strange looks.

How about any of you... Anybody have any interesting or cool scar stories?

I tried walking on top of a chain link fence. I fell after about 5 meters and the fence gashed my upper thigh. I didn't actually realize until I got home and my jeans were soaked with blood O_O
I've had that mark since the eighth grade- it's actually starting to go away now.

Running around petrified? I don't think so.

I was playing in the woods a lot too, but I somehow always managed to go unscathed.
If you have a good reason to disagree with the above, please tell me. Thank you.

A friend of mine woke up one day with a purple growth on his shoulder. It was some kind of blood vessel insane thing. My first thought was to smack him in the face and run when he showed it to me.

Anyways he got a big scar and later on everyone was told and believed it was a gunshot wound. I think he got attention from girls because of this.

Edit: Also I got a lot of scars. My biggest one is from being assaulted and it's about the size of a big banana on my forearm. Can provide pic

I used to have a 2 inch scar under my chin, but its really faded away now. I can only see it because my facial hair doesn't grow there. It came from when I has about 5 or 6 and I tried to ride my brother's bike (he is 4 yrs older than me). Needless to say, I fell off and landed on my chin.

I have a scar on my arm from being stabbed with a pair of scissors, I don't know if chicks really dig scars though..

Maybe I have to change the story to involving a dangerous knife fight.

I've got this lightning shaped one on my forehead.... Okay, it's not a lightning and there is no magic involved, just a fall from a chair down on a concrete floor back when I was 4, still shows pretty clearly.

Else I haven't really got anything (lolprotectedlife). I've got a white flashy one across my index finger which actually stems from a swiss-knife which folded on top of my finger. Oh and one under my right foot from a broken bottle someone had thrown into the water at the beach - that summer sucked so hard

So your biggest scar is on your soul from me making a similar thread to one that was made several months ago? Good to know.

got the classic line with the crosses and dots or w.e from a surgical incision to fix a stress fracture (by inserting a metal plate o.o) that was closed up with stitches.

then a cool piece of smooth scar tissue that sticks out on my hairy leg from colliding with a metal bed frame when me and my bros were horsing around

and then ive got a black hole in my foot from my sister stabbing me with a black colored pencil when we were kids

fun times =D

I was quite unlucky growing up really, had quite a few accidents.. none were too major and didn't cause very noticeble scars, so I guess I wasn't TOO unlucky.

One I don't remember much of was when I was about 6-8 ( I'm 18 now ), but I was on holiday in Spain enjoying the outdoors with my parents and siblings, relaxing in the sun. I have a brother and sister whom are twins, they are both 15 months older than I am. Well, as you do as kids is have fun, as you said, playing in the trees and such. Well, my brother basically picked up a sunbed and let it drop on my foot. Doesn't sound too bad, but my big toe nail came off and I was screaming for ages.

The worst injury I remember was when I was about 10. At this point we lived in Spain, I moved there when I was 9, so about 4 years after my sunbed incident. But I was building a treehouse in this new area we had moved in to,my brother and I had met a mate there aswell. So my brother, my friend and I were building this treehouse, I was on the bottom level nailing something into the tree (when I was younger we nailed random shit to the treehouse, like planks of wood and shit). But i was nailing away anyway and my friend Connor, walks up the treehouse with a big rock, before he gets to the top (we had built somewhat of a ladder to reach the top floor), he throws the rock a little bit so it gets up there, but instead.. the rock just rolls to the other side of the treehouse, falls off and slams right into my hand ( missing my head by an inch ).
My hand was bleeding like hell, I just remember panicking and hearing some girl saying "You can see his bone!!"
Looking at it now, I can't really see any scars... only a burn scar.. when I was like 4-5 at my Auntys house, somebody in my family spilt a boiling cup of coffee over my hand.

I've also had alot of injuries with motorbikes, one where I was driving my friends motorbike ( he was driving mine - so unlucky, mine was shit... his was new.. we wud have had no problems)
But anyway, was driving through the countryside in Spain on my friends scooter, he drove off first, about 10 seconds before I did.. I felt pretty nervous on his bike for some reason, it had a different feel to it.. At one point I caught up with him, but just as I got close he broke rapidly, It was hard to react quick enough, so I broke and turned a little bit ( considering we were driving on little damn stones ) my bike just skidded, I flew to the side, skidding for about 5 seconds. He drove me home and I dosed off on his bike.. had to go to the hospital for a few stiches too, but all was Okay. Oh ye, It was a problem driving his bike because I had to pay him 1000 euros to get it fixed, it was really painful.... maybe that's why he broke so quickly - never really got to ask him that )

No real injuries latley, hopefully it stays that way.. I've had many more stupid ones not worth mentioning... hope these were atleast :D
Yesterday is yesterday, if you try to recapture it.. you will only lose tomorrow!!

Same thing I said in a thread a couple months ago about almost dying:

A couple of years back, a kid I go to school with decided to make a crossbow for a science expo project. He also decided to test it on the field. The doors to the field have no windows, so he posted a sign to warn people not to use them during a certain period. I'm not entirely sure how the sign got removed, either it fell, or some douchebag decided to take it down as a joke, but when I went to those doors, expecting to get a nice lunch off-campus, there was no warning whatsoever. I opened the door, and was hit in the rib by a crossbow bolt (thankfully, he was using all-wood bolts, and not metal-tipped ones. Also thankfully, the crossbow was rather small and not too powerful). I now have a nice little puncture wound dot right above that rib. The scar itself isn't too impressive, but how may people can say they've been shot by a crossbow?

I also have a nasty one on my bicep area from a broken fencing blade during an epee bout

My largest one is about 1-1.5 inches on my right cheek, where my dad's toolbox fell on my face in the garage when I was little.

my question is, why was he shooting the door in the first place?

I have a small scar on my forehead, in Jr. high I was biking down a steep dirt path, lost control and flew over my handle bars, faceplanted and slid on the gravel on my face for about 20 feet. Surprisingly I didn't break any bones although my face and hands got cut up pretty bad. But after a few months all I had was the little scar.

While not impressive I remember it cuz my social teacher from then on called me the 'Guy who cleans roads with his face'

Chicks do dig scars, in small to medium amounts. I'm lucky that most of my injuries healed up without scars. I would be covered if that wasn't the case..... Lots of scars are bad though.

Ok. Now to list mine.....

Left index finger (proximal phalange) - I had a chunk ripped out of the underside of my finger as a defensive wound when someone tried to stab me with a switchblade. He got my finger, and the blade stopped at the bone. It left a very visible scar nearly an inch long on my finger.

Left index finger, left middle finger, and left ring finger - I slammed our family car door shut (it had a bad lock, so needed to be physically slammed), however, I had my fingers stuck in it. Because the door was locked, I was unable to open the door myself. The force of it actually caused my nail on my ring finger to fall out, it grew back in slightly crooked. My middle finger suffered no long term damage. My index finger got the worst of it - a nasty scar on the top side of my intermediate phalange, I can no longer bend the joint to move the distal phalange properly, and I can no longer feel anything past that scar (I had a brick fall on my fingertip once, destroyed the nail, yet I felt nothing, to give you an idea of what I mean). When I was diabetic (yes, was), I used to use this fingertip for most of my tests, because I couldn't feel a thing!

Left thumb - I was working on some Warhammer models, and I cut my thumb pretty deep. I grabbed duct-tape and gauze, wrapped it up, and kept going. It's left a nice scar, and my fingerprint doesn't line up properly anymore.

Right thumb/wrist (hard to explain location) - I played Football with a cast on my wrist (last year of eligibility, and I broke it in the first game, I wanted to keep playing). The cast kept digging into my wrist right by the base of my thumb, causing the skin there to break open and bleed often. It left a scar, but it's mostly faded now. It is easy to feel though, because there is an obvious deformation that remains.

Left wrist - A scar that I can't explain. I can't feel anything there, and it feels wierd to touch, but is not overly obvious. I've had it as long as I can remember.

Various scars from minor burns on both arms, and hands (often from hot oil or grease, since I do a lot of cooking). Also scars on my knuckles from fights I used to get into..... Various minor scars from other nicks with tools. My hands are pretty beat up, in general..... It comes with being a hands-on person, I guess.

Right palm - I got a severe burn from resting my hand on the exhaust system of a gas powered lawn mower after it was in use for over an hour. It left a nice sized scar, although no serious damage, and is difficult to notice without close examination, but it can be felt pretty easily.

Upper back - One of the girls I had an intimate relationship with dug her fingernails into my upper back in the heat of the moment. It's left some small, mostly unnoticeable scars in that perfect shape..... She definitely left her mark on me..... Bitch.....

Lower back - I was in a knife fight and got cut (not too deeply) on my lower back while tackling him. Dumb move, I know.

Right calf - I was biking one day, and my foot slipped off the pedal and my calf got impaled deeply on the sprocket. It's left a good 8 inch long scar, that actually shows the grooves from the spokes on the sprocket. It was deep, and bled like a motherfucker (I threw my shoes into our washing machine 3 times trying to get the blood out, before throwing the shoes out and getting new ones). I used duct-tape and gauze to wrap it up after cleaning it.....

Left ankle - I have a scar that is about 4 inches long leftover from my reconstructive surgery. I snapped both my tibia and fibula near the ankle, and I tried to get up and walk on it, further screwing my ankle up. Since the operation, my left ankle has had better flexibility than my right ankle. The surgeon did a fantastic job.

Face - Literally the day before our grade 8 graduation pictures, I was in my backyard getting some firewood (I lived in the country, ok?), and a tree top ends up breaking and falling on me. The trees in my back yard are all softwood and about 40-50 ft tall, and the section that fell on me was about 6 ft long (the trees were spaced really close together, so they grew really tall and thin, and would break/fall pretty often, especially if it was windy outside). It landed on my face, knocking me out, and giving me a big scratch from about the middle of my forehead down the right side of my face. It left a scar, but its mostly faded now, and what remains is pretty difficult to notice, and most of it is hidden under my right eyebrow. Those pictures of me with a giant gash on my face are still in our grade 8 graduation yearbook..... And I had broken my ankle just a bit before the actual graduation, so I had to attend in a wheelchair, still doped up on T3's.

Ok. That's pretty much it for me. I've got more, but they either have an uninteresting story behind them, or they are not significant, or I just don't remember where they came from. Or a combination of the above.....

He wasn't shooting the door, he was shooting a target he mounted on the brick wall like 10ft to the right of the door. It was still really stupid, but what do you expect from a 15 year old guy with a crossbow

Insane. I remember that one story going around that one of the olympians (?) died from being accidentally stabbed with a broken blade.

Before people fenced with masks, people used to die from broken blades to the eye. Nowadays, it's usually the neck if it happens, the tip can slip under your neck-guard if it gets just the right angle. What happened to me was the guy I was fencing, a big ukranian guy, landed a lunge square on my chest with considerable force. Fencers get up to pretty high speeds at some point, so once the blade broke, his momentum just kept carrying him forward. Lucky for me the tip deviated to my arm and not my chest. It all happened really fast, I didn't even really realize he'd broken his blade until it had already torn into my arm

I thought the blades were pretty flexible while being strong? Did the blade just bend really far or are they semi-fragile?

i got a fairly large 2nd degree burn on my ankle a few months ago, it's fairly circular with a diameter ~2".
i got ~4" scar on my wrist from when i was climbing a tree when i was little and i slid down the tree and some little branch thing cut me pretty deep, it bled alot lol.
i got all these little scars on my left knuckles from when i hit someone right in the teeth and it cut my fist.
i have like 5+ burns on my arms that have left scars, including one that's about 5" long where i scraped something really hot and it just peeled off my skin instantly.
i also got some big scars on my stomach from when i had an appendectomy.
and my arm is completely covered with tiny scars because whenever i get a cut or something i always pick the scab off and it always scars.

I have a nice one right on the middle of my forehead for jumping head first into a garbage bag full of blankets, cause we had just moved so they were everywhere and that was the only thing carried in garbage bags since otherwise they could tear etc..or so i thought, fucking metal cornered bread maker.

Then there's an array of them on my chest from some overzealous female vampire i was so smashed it didnt even hurt at the time

They're pretty strong, but they go through a LOT of use, and the forces involved are very large. Fencers often go through several blades in a year. To give a sense of the force involved in making a blade break, when a blade breaks, it is often with enough force to project shards across the room at speeds great enough for the pieces to be nearly as dangerous as the original broken blade

I have a scar on my finger from when I testing my home-made crossbow. While adjusting the bolt, I accidentally fired it and it went right through my finger next to the bone. Plucking an arrow out of yourself is one of the manliest things that you can do, and I'm proud to have done it.

Chicks do dig scars, in small to medium amounts. I'm lucky that most of my injuries healed up without scars. I would be covered if that wasn't the case..... Lots of scars are bad though.

Ok. Now to list mine.....+ Show Spoiler +

Or a combination of the above.....

dude. you should like, be more careful +_+
