 . Btw, this past winter here in Michigan we were routinely hitting temperatures of 0 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit which is about -10 to -15 degrees Celsius I think so be prepared! (In Canada it can be even worse lol) | ||

One piece of advice: don't use "eh?" at all when you first get here. Listen and get used to the situations where it's used first; you might sound stupid otherwise. It's not even used often and it's not essential to speaking English. In Winnipeg, we have a huge Filipino community. I'm sure you'll be fine in Brampton though. I'm sure you'll enjoy our summer weather. However, you'll need to get used to winter. | ||

If you are going to learn a second language in Canada, French would be #1 and Mandarin would be #2, in terms of actual benefit. | ||
