christopher walken in true romance the former is a hilariously great acted complete sociopath nutjob the latter is an example of one actor being in a 5-10 minute long scene in a movie featuring 10 really high profile and great actors in a great movie filled with great scenes, and his performance in those 5-10 minutes outshines everyone else so such a degree that this scene is what sticks with you - even if it's not really a big part of the main plot walken is so good in general tho.. his performance in the deer hunter is one of the best ever, too. and finally there are a good couple hundred more ridiculously great examples. the latest I've seen where the acting blew me away was mo'nique's performance as precious' mom in precious.  | ||
