No, I am with you brother. But I am probably biased because I hate every single Ben Stiller, Will Ferrell movie out there and in terms of Ben Stiller movies this was probably the least horrible one.

Jack Nicholson in just about any role he's ever been in. I reallllly enjoyed his part in The Departed.

Alexandre Rodrigues - City of God

Jack Nicholson was better in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and As Good As It Gets.

Wow, this was such a good movie. Especially Leonardo Di Caprio's acting.
He was 19 when he filmed this and if I didn't know how he looked, I would totally think that they got some mentally-challenged guy to "act" in this.

Malcolm McDowell (the old guy with white hair who plays in shows like Entourage and Heroes) played the main character, Alex, in "A clockwork orange", and I really really enjoyed his acting.
There's something weird about how everyone acts in that movie though, its more theatrical in some way, I dunno..but my vote goes to him.

But yeah my three favorite actors of all time, in no particular order: Daniel Day-Lewis, Robert Downey Jr. (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Chaplin were great) and James Spader (sex lies and videotape, the boston legal series)

I think that was Kubrick's whole idea to make it more theatrical

Christian Bale's best movie was The Machinist. Since then he's become a loser.

Another one: Al Pacino in insomnia (at least the first 30 minutes). Kinda crappy movie but great acting.
|
Yeah he did a sick job in The Machinist...impressive how he decided to loose weight like that as well. I still think he did a good job in the batman movies though, and he was "ok" in that new terminator movie, but it sucked balls anyway so hard to think good of him.
Edit: And the guy who played Alex (funny that its the same name as my other choice lol) Mahone, in Prison Break was amazing in the last season, if it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't bother watching it since it was so bad compared to season 1 and 2.
|
Another Daniel Day-Lewis performance would be him as Bill the Butcher. Any character that grabs my attention on screen and draws me into them, whether they be good or bad, is always a delight.
I'd also say DeNiro in Raging Bull (but I'm a huge boxing fan so perhaps I'm biased here). There have been many masterful performances so making some list would take me years, but those 2 were just a couple of the first ones in my head.

Along with everyone else in the Lord of the Rings Triology, Christopher Lee was just awesome for this role because of his appearance and evil voice.

![[image loading]](http://www.lahiguera.net/cinemania/actores/christoph_waltz/fotos/9362/christoph_waltz.jpg) God, I loved Christoph Waltz's acting. That was superb. I mean, even the opening scene captivated me. It was absolutely amazing. I also loved Tim Robbins in Shawshank redemption, but I think that's just because that movie was awesome.

![[image loading]](http://johneaves.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/the_shining1.jpg) Jack Nicholson in The Shining. Never have there been someone more terrifying on screen.
![[image loading]](http://blog.founddrama.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/deadwood-al-toasts.jpg) Not a movie, but Ian Mcshane was absolutely brilliant in Deadwood.

Denzel in Training Day was probably one of the more believable performances I've ever seen.
