Well not really, but "One Piece (7)" would be a bit boring name for a blog. Gotta mix it up every now and then.
Anyhow I'm going to start watching subbed One Piece. I vastly prefer the Funimation dub, but what can you do with it not being available, other than wait and take in 15 piece bunches every 2-3 months? I've noticed that I really enjoy animes, TV shows, et al when I take them in at a quick pace: the story line feels more authentic and contiguous, and then characters become much more real and easy to bond with (or hate). You get sucked into the world when you plow through a series in a way you can't get by taking it a piece at a time.
Or I just want to watch Luffy kick some ass. I'm on Episode 146 (going to skip the filler arc of 131-45); word on the street is there's some cool stuff coming up.
Also, on a side note, and to start some discussion, what are your favorite characters in One Piece (only characters that have appeared up until episode 146 in the anime [the end of the Arabasta arc]) ?
For myself, it's:
1. Luffy. Hilarious guy, always upbeat. Love characters like this: the lead in Yu-Gi-Oh GX is similar, except Luffy has a bit of a douchey side. Actually that cruel side of Luffy seems to have disappeared: in the first episode he was particularly untactful, but he's been decent lately.
2. Smoker & his Sergeant Major. Really like this guy as a semi-villain. Hard to classify him as good or bad though: he was originally a main villain for a period, but has now become a semi-good guy chasing down the Straw Hats with some respect and sense of fair play. His second in command has a similar relationship to Zoro as Smoker does to Luffy.
3. Zoro. No nonsense kick ass dude.
4. Sanji. Kind of similar to the above except he chases girls constantly and lets them play him.
5. Nami. Kind of decent character, not much positive or negative.
6. That reindeer guy. Also meh.
7. Usopp. Annoying most of the time, but has been growing on me.

Favorite villain: That clown guy, says "flashily" constantly (at least in the dub). Hated him at the start as he seemed like an unbelievable, contrived cartoon villain but he's grown on me massively. He's obviously not a really main villain but he's good comic relief, which is rare for me to say as I usually find the supposed-to-be-funny moments in animes to be awkward and annoying.

You should get the auto-page loader for Chrome or a similar app if you use another web browser. Then go on onemanga.com or a similar site and just keep scrolling down. It's really easy and convenient ^ ^ and no annoying lag times.

I don't think I'll ever be a manga guy when I can lie in my bed and watch the anime. Thank you for the suggestion with respect to page loader, though, I'll try it out for the next Bleach (which I do follow as it comes out, spoiler discussion on onemanga and all).

If you really wanna rush One Piece then read the manga but if you wanna enjoy then stick with anime. You have so much more to go .... i started reading the manga when i catched up with the anime and i wanted moar so started reading the manga too .
I read manga but if there is anime version of the manga then i choose anime over manga anytime.

I saw the anime also recently, then it suddently stopped, and I couldnt hold mysef so I started the manga. I've for so long watched episode after episode, har to then suddnetly say "stop"
