I slacked. It seemed a decent plan, A mystical, strategic purge Of horrid beasts that threaten man.
The victor's hymn becomes a dirge, The ceiling and the floor converge; A gelid, pallid fear enthralls Within Procrastination's walls.
My frantic labors I began. When finished, my employer calls: More obligations - and again I slack. It seems a decent plan.

Soooo this time you didn't finish your homework or something and you have to cram?

This sums up my life neatly, thanks for making me feel depressed.

I'm slacking right now by reading this blog. High-five.

Very nicely done, as usual. I take it that the poem itself constitutes the fruits of your slacking?

I, too, am a huge slacker. I love this poem, and how it captures the essence of a procrastinator-- how each time you procrastinate, you wind up panicking and completely stressed at the last-minute before the proj/assignment is due. And you think to yourself, I will never put myself into this situation again. I will learn time management! And then the next assignment you get, bam, you do the exact same thing.

fuck I just remembered I have an assignment and an essay to do

I agree. I figure I'm just sadistic and enjoy the pain

Haha, guess I found the target audience.
I was teaching math part-time at a vocational school. Pulled a good 18 hours playing Dragon Age, checked my phone at 5am. Voicemail said I had to lecture in six hours (instead of in three days). I think I wrote the preliminary draft of this before getting started on the lesson plan :p
