A lot of people complain that sc2 is a boring blobfest, I don't think that's the case with Toss. You have to have the right mix of units or you are a piece of crispy toast that has been chewed up and digested. zealots for lings and rines, stalkers for support and air, sentries for support and blocking crap off and immortals and colossi to do the heavy damage. I was d- in broodwar because I focused too much on mechanics and not enough about game sense and timing. Now the mechanics from bw are paying off(though still lacking) but the game sense is kicking in because im playing custom games for the most part(so I don't lose my shiny gold ranking). Anyways I guess this is pretty much a brag post that I don't suck Ted Nugent's balls.

From speculation, it is mostly the people who don't have the beta that are saying how bad it looks. I've found that APM still matters, micro still matters, and macro certainly matters in this game. And it isn't as easy as everyone thinks. MBS, unlimited hotkeying, etc - people are finding new ways to expand "skill". Not just anyone can get good at this game. And it certainly doesn't feel easier than the original Starcraft.

My entrie approach to bw was that it was already figured out and that the only reason I lost was because I was playing terran with 120apm. However I don't think anyone is going to need 300 apm to make it to the proleagues in sc2(not saying that there won't be people up there) I think the games in sc2 are going to be decided more on strategy and timing since the macro is easier it will allow for more flexible play.

Right now a lot of people that are playing might think SC2 is significantly less mechanically challenging but that just because: - The game is at an early stage and not all apm sinks have been exploited - There aren't millions playing yet

It depends on the type of commands you usually make, how long each takes. If a issuing a command makes you move your mouse a lot, then you cant click as fast while doing that as just spamming something simple from keyboard only, and so on.

This is a major break through for me because I've never had good macro...like if macro was a donut I would be the hole in that donut. Non existent. As a result I have become a master cheese, schooling noobs with cannon rushes and such. However today I learned the glory of the immortal timing push and more importantly that roaches suck randy's testicles when up against big giant metal things. I'm practically a GENIUS when it comes to game sense but I'm the hole in mechanics but the hole is sooo big that it covers the Donut in darkness. Well, either that or I ate it ^^
