Toe - Path (Post-Rock)
Kashikura Takashi breathes life into this incredible relaxing yet complex instrumental with his dynamic and tasteful drumming. Toe are an instrumental post-rock band from Japan and a band I highly suggest. Great for listening to while doing other stuff, I listen to them while doing photo-editing, reading, or playing games.
Mint Royale - Singin in the Rain (Electronica)
A fun electronica song with a great video and an excellent remix of an old classic. Mint Royale make good music and much like the previous song, it makes excellent background music.
Elysian Fields- Passing on the Stairs (Dream-Pop)
Haunting and melancholy this song makes me feel pretty depressed but is good nonetheless. They are an artsy-fartsy band from New York.
The Best is Yet to Come (Soundtrack/Vocal)
Remember that thread about what song you want played at your funeral? This is that song.
One Day As A Lion - Wild International (Hip-Hop/Electronic)
Jon Theodore, ex-drummer of The Mars Volta and Zach De La Rocha from Rage Against The Machine team-up. The results are good.
Madness - Night Boat to Cairo (Ska)
Fun video, fun song, Madness are just fun. This song always puts me in a good mood. While they had some pop hits, particularly "Our House", Madness have their roots in ska and this song proves it.
United Nations - No Sympathy For A Sinking Ship (Post-Hardcore)
Unfortunately I could not find my favorite song of theirs on youtube (Say Goodbye to General Figment of USS Imagination. Look it up.) United Nations are something of a Post-Hardcore supergroup with members of Thursday, Glassjaw, and other acts.
Death From Above 1979 - Cold War(Dance-Punk)
You're a Woman, I'm a Machine is such a good album. Find it, buy it, download it, whatever. The title track does a good job of defining their sound. The band broke up very quickly, to my dismay.
I hope you enjoyed da music
