any steeleseries would be very good, but if you play any fps, i'd recommend a larger pad. but if you only play starcraft a smaller one would be fine. also, a plastic (hard) pad will have much less friction than a cloth pad, ofc

The best part about it is you can clean it with a sponge and some soap and warm water, dry it with a hairdryer, and its brand new again.

I am going to best buy to get a steel series mousepad, apparently they have 4HD one in stock for 24bucks. How good is it? Should I go for it? my salmosa works fine on my old mousepad.. did you install the drivers or do w/e the manual says? I had that problem where it wasnt smooth at all until I installed the drivers and restarted, then it was perfect.

1. The Salmosa (actually, I'm using Abyssus = Salmosa v2 now) has very high lift off distance on many cloth pads, but on the 4HD, the lift off is a lot lower. 2. The 4HD has a nice glide while not feeling "slippery" (many textured plastic pads have this feel). Also, there is no "drag" compared to soft cloth pads.
