i think a one of those study lounges in dorms floors on a weekend would be completely empty and with tables/wireless, its ideal for meeting up with laptops. | ||

I have never gotten the chance to meet any MSU TLers The only decent Michigan player I've ever met who had any idea how to play SC was iSin.There's an MSU lan on February 7th. http://www.spartylanparty.com/ No Starcraft tournament or anything, but I'm already registered to go and would love to meet some other people in the area I also have an SC2 beta key and would love to play SC2 locally or show the game to my fellow TLers Holy shit just finished reading most of this thread and am now super excited to see some Lansing SC organization :D I'll PM my email. I was C- on the fourth day of the last iccup season. I think I'm above C-, but don't want to get chewed apart for extrapolating Oh yeah, is anyone here named Danny? My roommate last year knew I loved SC and kept telling me about 4 guys who he saw playing in the lab whenever he went over to Holmes Hall. Supposedly one guy named Danny I think was wiping the floor with them 1v3 or something  I've also heard of 2-4 people playing SC in the Shaw Hall labs, but I have no idea if they're any good. Whenever I looked this year (only twice while visiting friend) they were playing wc3/dota Sorry for this terribly organized post. Also, for anyone looking to make some more gaming friends at MSU, I strongly recommend visiting http://spartylanparty.com/ They play a lot of other games besides SC, but they're definitely a very cool group of gamers. They host four big LAN parties every year (two 100-man LANs and two 50-man LANs), and it's my favorite forum to visit aside from TL. I didn't get involved with them until the beginning of my senior year and sorely regret not joining sooner | ||

After reading this thread my hope is we can get a decent Starcraft showing at the LAN and prove to them that real men still play Starcraft Hell, if there was enough demand they might start adding Starcraft to the tournament list. | ||

I could line up a venue in lansing VERY VERY VERY easily (Royal Scot's 19th Hole) as I'm friends with the people who run waldoman there and the owners. It's a bowling alley for those of you who don't know. With this many people interested in SC in Lansing A lone we could probably get people from Toronto to come and anyone in ohio/indiana/illinois as well as all the UofM kids(Hopefully Hotbid would show up )Any thoughts? I still say if you want to host a lan we could just go to FRAG since they already have comps and stuff if they give us a decent price. | ||

The area is set up as such. There's a you walk in and there are 4 couches set up next to a TV. To the right of those couches are 3 gaming computers. Next to those gaming computers are places to sit with 5 ethernet ports from which you can connect to the internet. More ethernet ports can be found all throughout the room. I don't know if we're actually playing that day, but if you guys want we could. Sadist, sorry to say, but I checked today and the gaming computers are down. A friend of mine had already contacted the Holmes Hall living services or whatever and they reported that the students had crashed them so many times they were tired of fixing them. So unfortunately, I do believe that we need to find somewhere else that we can meet on a permanant basis. Any ideas people? Meeting will be at 10:00 PM at night. Don't show up at 10 AM because I'll be sleeping. This will just be an informational meeting to meet each other and get a feel each other's schedules. Again, if you guys want to play that day, bring computers. | ||
