I'm Asian, but my hair is slightly curly. I'm growing it out for fun, but the volume is massive, since it's slightly curly (rather than long, and extremely neat, which is what I want) I might have to use a straightener to get the look I want, but since there's like 2000 cubic feet of hair on the sides of my head, I think maybe I should cut is slightly?
Are there specific ways of cutting it I should know of to tell whoever will be cutting my hair to use?
Apparently, my friend took this photo randomly while I was practicing for the CPL eval I didn't get to play in. D: The sides are usually frizzier and puffier, this is probably what it looks like on a somewhat better day. - -
judging from what you've said i can think of a few possibilities. i'm assuming that you're going for a typical fob-asian length hairstyle, not actual long hair.
#1) definitely ask to get your hair thinned out #2) depending on how curly your hair is, a) if it's extremely curly get it straight permed. b) if not, get a mini hair straightener, where the heating surface is only about 3 inches long. #3) when you shave your sideburns you should shave up to about the middle of your ear and then let the hair above that grow longer. do not let them cut this hair!
