These won't be in chronological order, just basically a summary of important events.
Modding-related
I "completed" and released Armageddon Onslaught.

There was a post on TL here somewhere in BW discussion as well.

I attempted to finish In The Admiral's Service but the crashes from the limit expander forced the project's discontinuation.
I released two voice acting compilations, one for ITAS, and a general one, related to my mods over the years.

I attempted another conversion for Homeworld 2, based on the universe of my life's work, the Lour Saga. The mod was called The Black Sun: Bloodstone Jordan. Homeworld 2's limitations and problems and annoyances with its file structure and editors on top of my inability to UVW, texture, or skin destroyed this project very early in.

Attempted to revitalize my 2007 diablo 2 mod. Failed.

^ Turning on Players 8 made the monsters totally indestructible killing machines. It took like 15 minutes to kill this boss. Looks like all of those d2 junkies looking for a challenge are about to meet their match.
^ I turned on Perspective after I found out I didn't even have it on.
^ Couldn't get up to Blood Raven... broken terrain t.t
^ Epic battle for the elite zone guarding the entrance to the Abandoned Fortress. No zone boss for this zone, yet.
^ lol
^ The conclusion of the night.
Attempted to mod Sins of a Solar Empire. Discovered the modding aspect of the game was just as terrible as the other half.
Attempted creation of a Captain Planet RPG in RPGMaker XP. Like clockwork this, too, would fail to the crippling power of my mental illnesses.
I was interviewed by Magic of the Star Alliance, an oldschool community from back in the day, about modding and my history.

Video Editing
I released "Let's Play" -esque video series of Left 4 Dead, UT3, and other games, as well as several gameplay videos of my Starcraft mods.
A taste of the very smallest of the videos are on my youtube account. Most of them are small XXE (Xtreme Xtreme Edition) videos that follow a certain theme across multiple games, such as physics, or custom content in UT2004.
Warning - some of the volume, especially of my voice, might be loud.

Content Creation
I attempted 3d animation in 3ds max, and subsequently gave up.

My last models were created in 2008 so I won't post them here. They're awful, anyway. This is the only thing I edited in 2009.
Personal/Life
We got another cat. Yay! He was like 3-4 weeks old when we got him.
Retired from modding, voice acting, and all other related content production activities except for video editing, due to the inability to learn or adapt to new and demanding games or advance in 3d skills because of mental problems.
Wait period of a year finally reached its end for me to get involved with mental health in the bid to get a drug. A few months later and I was put on Zyprexa, making matters worse. A time after that I managed to get a physician who switched my drug to Wellbutrin. Switching from Zyprexa to Wellbutrin gave me several days of energy and motivation, encouraging me to return to my novel after a year of having leaving it dead for good.
They have yet to officially diagnose my illness because of the complexity and contradictions of the symptoms. It's a mix between Shizophrenia, Aspergers, and high-functioning Autism. I am, for all intents and purposes, brain damaged and unable to function like other people or within society. There will never be a way to cure my problems, but hopefully the drugs can help me fight them.
Unfortunately the high quickly wore off and I returned to being deeply depressed and lethargic within a week despite constantly increasing my dosage. I still retain the conviction to try to finish my novel, however. In that respect I wrote over 300 pages total this year, but that isn't nearly enough to complete it. Right now it's at 1210 pages, and I need to write at least that much more in addition to editing and revising all of the existing work, as much of it is 7-8 years old and thus is terrible.
The anxiety attacks I've been getting have gotten increasingly worse and worse over 2009. I was given Ativan recently by the physician to fight this but it doesn't help a lot.
I also built my new computer this year. i7 920, 12gigs of corsair dominator, Rampage II Extreme motherboard, my old 4870x2, non-antec case (god I hated that antec 900), 4.5 terabytes total HD space, asus xonar d2, running windows 7 beta. It's funny that with all this hardware the only games I really played are old ones like starcraft. I was kinda hoping sc2 wouldn't predictably end up in 2010 or 2011 but I suppose that was a foolish hope. The i7 totally destroys my old AMD X2 6000 3.0ghz in rendering, though - it's literally ten times as fast in 3ds max. Unfortunately h264 encoders don't use any more than 15% of my cpu at most. I was able to run Crysis: Warhead totally maxed out with everything running and fraps it at full-screen 1920x1200 and maintain the 30fps cap on fraps. Left 4 dead 2 gives me over 200fps. This will probably be the last computer system I ever buy, so let's hope it keeps up with games for a while.
Unfortunately over half the games I have do not work on windows 7, including supreme commander and titan quest. I think it's related to this particular beta build (7100).
I got mortally sick earlier this year... again. Food poisoning + sensitive stomach that swells massively + healthcare system that just doesn't give a shit = waiting in hospital writhing in agony for 5 hours in the dead of night and taking a shit every 5 minutes. Absolutely dreadful. Then they just sent me home. The earlier time this happened they gave me morphine pretty quickly... which was great because by the time I get the balls to go to the hospital I've already endured pain for at least two days and have had no sleep during that time.
Discovered a TON of awesome, rare music. I've been hunting for stuff related to traditional Bulgarian choral stuff for a long time and on the 23rd I came across a guy's youtube channel filled with like-minded stuff, including a bunch of really awesome arabic stuff. A bunch of cool soundtracks also got leaked/released this year including Bayonetta and some of the god of war 3 demo music.
A little taste of some of the stuff I found. I was lucky to find much of it in flac.
Yep... my 2009 at a glance. 2010 is going to be a lot more boring; I'm committing myself to finishing my novel, and I won't be modding or modeling anymore. To finish my book it will take everything I've got, and a lot I haven't got.
Hopefully you found something entertaining in this post.
Enjoy getting drunk, folks. I'll be sipping some water and trying to get this show on the road.
