Since I've seen many similar posts in the blog section I thought I would take the time to write a shameless plug for my own band.
I play keyboards in a band called Shear and we finally finished our first EP after many many months of work. The EP contains four songs.
We play some kind of melodic metal, and we have a female singer. We have one complete song and a medley of all four songs listenable on our myspace page.
So if you're into metal please feel free to check us out and give us/me some feedback!

the chick is too soft compared to the brutality of the guitar.
|
you have members that have played in imperanon and omnium gatherum ? sweet Im not really a fan of female fronted metal , the production is nice though and nothing seems out of place.
|
DeathSpank: I understand what you mean, but this is actually the way we want to do it. In my opinion many metal bands with female vocalists sound overall too soft and this is what we try to avoid.
besiger: Yeah, our members have quite a lot of experience from many other bands. Our guitarist played in Imperanon and our bassist played on the latest OG album.

You guys sound good! I really dig the vocals. Every band should have a female lead.
What is the 2nd song in the medley called? I like that one a lot.
|
I usually don't care for metal but this was actually quite good. Plus the chick is hot will help with marketability thousandfold, especially as there's talent present.
|
Thank you ktp! The second song in the medley is called 'Scorched'. Sometime in the future (within a month or so) we'll probably release more songs to myspace. Probably gonna add that song next.

The drummer chick is scary.

Nice to hear that your gf likes it and thanks for the compliment! Yeah, the amount of metal bands from northern europe/scandinavia is really crazy, no idea what the reason is though :D

Mmmh theres too much of these "modern metal" bands with polished, plastic sounds already... Especially here in Finland

Finns know their metal. Hyvä!
