I don't know if you guys use Imeem for online music, but while at work it's (or was) a nice site for streaming music. Well, I go to www.imeem.com today to start listening to some music, and what do you know....Myspace has bought out Imeem and is now incorporating it into their music service.
I don't know why but this really pissed me off. I loved the simple, easy layout of Imeem and now having to go to myspace to get my music just makes me so damn angry. Did any of you use Imeem? Do you have any other suggestions? I'm really in the dark with what to use at the moment as I absolutely refuse to use the trash that is Myspace for my music. Any help would be much appreciated!

i use myspace all the time for sampling artists... i don't see anything wrong with it and don't know of any alternatives. what site other than myspace can you start streaming songs from virtually any artist within 10 seconds of opening your browser?

I was thoroughly disappointed today when I tried accessing imeem and was redirected to myspace. Hm, hopefully our playlists and all that are saved.

SAME OMFG. I tried to get into Imeem and it was forcing me to make a myspace account and shit like wtf is this crap.

God myspace is horrendous sucks for you imeem guys, I never used that site, I use Pandora for my music. It makes decent playlists and helps me find out about new bands.

Myspace is better than facebook in every single way...except that it has less people cuz facebook is the new cool thing...and everyone is flocking to it. Myspace has music, videos, blogs, everything......
I sold all my cd's years ago...and dont even need to DL music. 1 stop for all my music needs. Myspace.

lala
myspace is slow to load and convoluted to browse

Slow to load if ur computer is from the 90s. They made changes to that anyways recently for people with old ass computers and dial up.

The point of it is that Myspace is in no way shape or form easier to use than Imeem was. Not to mention that like 95% of work places auto-block myspace from being accessed. Luckily this isn't the case with my workplace, but still sad to see good ole Imeem being converted to another E-Monster.

What the hell? This is pure BULLSHIT!
I have myspace's DNS address in my hosts file and I can't even edit/delete it...
Back 2 pandora/WMP for me, FFS FML!

The only artists on myspace are over the top bubble gummy music only trying to look for a quick dollar. I think musicians who are really into music, don't have their music on myspace, because look at how quickly it becomes abused.

Grooveshark is really nice, but if you don't know what you want to listen to to begin with, the algorithm sucks because it gets stuck on one artist. As far as 'open and play', though? It's amazing.
