I do not know how you can prepare for both of those builds on desti as well as the off chance that he just went for a normal eco build.

what's not to get. I don't become a better player by being able to stop 5 gate speedzeals off 1 base... because no player does that kinda shit except for in a ladder game to get a cheap win. all it does is help me learn how to ladder better, which isn't my goal. my goal is to improve as a player. i'm better off working on shit at D level rather than getting cheesed every time at C+

Thousands improve their play via ICCUP. It isn't nearly as hopeless or cut and dry as you seem to think it is. Cheese is rampant in the lower ranks this is true, but being able to play accordingly is a barometer of skill. If you seriously cannot figure a way to get out of the C ranks don't be a pussy and blame rampant cheesing. I mean I can understand someone being like "I'm not good enough" but pointing the finger at the greatest ladder we've ever known and say stuff like "this cannot help me as a player" is plain retarded.

I'm not saying that I can't get B- due to cheese, obviously I'm not good enough because if I was really a B- player these things would be easy to stop. The point is though that the only thing I learn from cheese is how to stop cheese, which doesn't help me anywhere but 'how to play iccup laddder' ... I have enough friends of all skill levels that I can get the practice I need by playing them. So when faced with a decision: do I want to really keep mass gaming to push for B-, or just practice with my friends, the decision is simple. Sure I won't get a pretty blue letter next to my name, but I'll save myself computer-breaking rage by not continuing to play on ICCUP. And anyways, I can get what I need out of ICCUP by playing at D ranks, and the lovely thing about that is I can easily stop cheese from D level players, so I won't get filled with nerd rage! Yaaaa!
