i have headache one this from it i dont want to use to it) i dont think i can

If you understand correctly. .. why don't you just try it out wtf. You can get your latest drivers at http://www.nvidia.com download them install them reboot press right mouse click on your desktop and go into the nvidia control panel. Hope that helps.

Do you have a little icon in your bottom right toolbar for your video drivers (like ATI Catalyst Control Center) if you do select an option like the one in your pic or "maintain aspect ratio." If you don't have the drivers you should probably be able to find them by googling the name of your video card online or checking the company's website.

i have also on fixed ratio timin and its even worse...

1) Go to google 2) Google for lastest driver for your graphics card. For ATI cards, it will be Catalyst Control Center. 3) Install driver, and google for how to set "Fixed Aspect Ratio" for it. On some monitors, you can actually set this through the monitor menu itself. Just go searching around in it while you wait for the driver to download/install. 4) Profit 5) This is actually a possible 5th step. Some graphics cards (ATI in particular) will NOT do fixed aspect ratio, so you will have to pray that your monitor does or otherwise you are done for. However, most every large monitor I've come across can force fixed aspect ratio by itself, so you should be ok since you have a 24" monitor.

Check the settings that you can access with the buttons on the monitor itself. My 19inch hp has a setting that says "fill to aspect ratio" or something like that, so I assume your 24inch monitor would have that feature.

Fixed aspec ratio timing? You must be using one of the older nivida controllers to get that wording. That's strange though, it should fix it. Are you seeing the black bars at the sides?
|
no i dont have this bar... and yes i have geforce 2 ti and thats a bit of the problem because there are not any newer ... this one is from i think 2k5...
|
i had this same "problem" on my computer.I basically got used to widescreen and it was cool
THen i updated to Windows 7 and dunno why, but its fixed aspect ratio. No widescreen, just black bars Nice to go back to the original resolution.

Your monitor also can support the aspect ratio scaling. If you go through the options on your monitor its likely you'll find a way to maintain aspect ratio in it.

Hmm, Geforce 2. That video card is 9 years old. That's probably why it doesn't have a fixed aspect ratio function. Everyone was using 4:3 CRTs then.

Either monitor settings or newer graphics card drivers, I don't know any other ways to fix this.
If neither your monitor nor the newest official driver has such an option you could try to find hacked drivers which include a fixed ratio setting, but even if you find one it might cause problems. Hacks aren't very reliable. Only try that if there is no other way.

My widescreen doesnt have an aspect ratio option. And playing BW with it stretch is just something i refuse to do! Urgh gives such a headache
I went onto craiglist and found quite a nice CRT for free - I would recomend this!
