4 was terrible imo. 5 isn't that bad, but requires a bit on the system. and game play is slower than 3 which is  HoMM3 is so beast because i play it with my family (only comp game i can get them all on to play lol ) | ||

Can someone do me the big favor of telling me how to run dosbox -> warlords2 ? I have warlords2 in folders but I am not seeing anything specifically that is simply the game.. just a ton of folders of things associated WITH the game.. and the "START" folder again has nothing that starts the game. (as far as I can tell) | ||

Run Dosbox Type in the command: mount z (warlords folder path (eg. c:\games\warlol)) change directory to z by typing z:, then doing enter Now that you've changed to Z:\, type war2 to run the war2 bat file which is in the main warlords folder. Don't enter any subfolders. This should start up the game. | ||

By the way, you probably have to run the setup to get the sound to work properly. Instead of running the war2.bat to execute the game, run install and go through the installation and configuration process. | ||

make sure you get the deluxe version.. adds dozens of maps and different army/terrain sets (some of them are pretty hilarious :D) can upload a copy somewhere if you can't find it | ||
