Persistence pays off.. or does it?

So I join this game and its destination, the guy is random. I'm like w/e I'll just scout later, but no he wants to be sneaky and picks Protoss at the last second. Meaning 1) he OBVIOUSLY thinks im bad enough not to notice and 2) hes trying to hide it because hes going to cheese me as hard as Wisconsin cheese... something. ANYWAYS I knew he was going to cheese and he does, and he tries very very very hard to get a gateways in my base he actually succeeds and makes ONE zealot I was suprised as it popped out after the gateway exploded. After that it was DTs and the usual my trying to work with my bad macro and my over aggressiveness despite my retarded advantage.

After I win he asks for a re, he goes pure random no sneaky race pick this time, I scout his base with one of my 4 scvs to find out he's terran, a terran who doesn't make supply depots. I wall just in case and find a nice group of marines and scvs knocking on my door. his 'BBS' is so late that i have a vulture and a bunker ready and he doesnt even manage to kill one of the depots in my wall but I make an extra anyways. I then go straight to cloak wraiths (after my failed attempt to find the mystery barrackses I gave up and never saw them until i watched the replay later) I come all up in his grill and hes got no detection.

He asks for another RE i say 'syre' which maybe in his language means 'I'll make the game the same name but I'll forget that I asked for a re' OR he just misheard me or something I dunno. Whats confusing to me is I've been trying so hard PERSISTENTLY to get out of D- and succeed but he was trying to hard PERSISTENTLY to cheese me but failed both times. So I'm truly at a loss, does persistence pay off?

Enjoy the amusing D- games. NO IM NOT BRAGGING ABOUT MY MACRO/MICRO IM JUST GLAD THAT IM FUCKING NOT D- FOR AT LEAST A FEW HOURS. :D
