It will become huge. Much bigger than what normal-sports are tooday.
But I dont think it will happen in our lifetime..or maybe it will.

It will, but I don't think I'll be young enough to rejoice for it by then T_T

And IMO, I don't think Korea is in its 'mature' stage right now yet either. I mean, besides the very top of the progamers, most earn very little money =[

Pros also feel the need to have a strike to get the prizes raised, because currently, the lesser pros don't have much to earn income.

8 hours of constant practicing is crazy too, heh I don't really think professionals in other 'sports' practice 8-10 hours a day straight

Grrr said a couple a years ago that war3 would be the game that would turn pro gamers into millionaires and would bring pro-gaming out side of korea ....of course this was before war3 beta was released, then everyone saw the game sucks and none of this will happen

If you count lifting, conditioning, and practice then I bet it's quite even.

the koreans got on the internet bandwagon immediately since they didn't allow consoles. the internet is part of their culture.

this will eventually happen elsewhere, as is already the case in nordic and european countries.

Never. Pro Gaming might reach a certain level in US, but in my opinion, I think it will only stay in the secluded "gaming" community. And once BW dies...

If you think 8 hours of practicing on a computer is nearly as hard as actual physical training in something like football then you are nuts. I play football and I've had 8 hour practices and they SUCK. You are too tired to do anything after, and I a do mean ANYTHING. I'd gladly sit on my ass and play games for 8 hours if thats what i did for a living and people didn't think i was a complete loser. lol =O
