could u make an option to squelch someone so you dont see their posts? for example i could go to my tl.net and squelch options and add someone to list, now i dont see their posts anymore?

you could also make it possible for admins to view the "top squelched users" list. i am not going to name any names but i think this feature would help a great deal.

hm now that i think of it,i don't think i'd squelch anyone.would be a pain in the ass if someone replies a squelched post and you don't know what they're talking about.

Well, other people's posts might come across as strange sometimes without the context of the message you squelched. But, if you used that feature, you'd just have to keep that in mind. And rather than having their post just not show entirely, we could still list it with it's body being " ---- Squelched! ---- " similar to when someone's account gets Nuked.

I can see why some people might want that feature, but really, if someone's posts are unanimously considered bad, they usually get banned.

Anyway, what do you think Meat? Gogo?

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Ignoring people just because you don't like them is a bit childish in my opinion, except on B.Net when it's just a bunch of morons spamming xDDDDDDDD or whatever

i would definitely use it. despite that they haven't been banned yet, i know 100% some people's posts i will never need to see. pm me if you want an example.

furthermore, this feature would let admins see just how many people feel this way about each user, if they wanted to see. it would give the admins more support in considering any decision.

yup i will not add that, it doesnt make sense in a discussion forum. in a bnet channel its different, because someone can spam alot etc and not get banned.

Now i could consider something like a button "I would like this user banned" that forum regulars have and if someone has 10+ votes or whatever that we take a special look at that user. However i have doubts about this too, i think it's only to weed out the new users that come here to fuck around and admins dont see immidiatly.
