Pure just dropped the ball with the bridge move.. Eh? Canata was arguably ahead until dark swarm came into play. That's when things really started to go downhill for him. Unless you're just claiming that Canata can't win games and sending him out was an inevitable loss, but that's not true either, a key win on vs CJ day 3 came from him.

This time Midas even got away with a greedy opening AND caught Best double-expanding with his rush. Aren't rush builds made to punish such play? Also Best went Observer first after double expand so it was no Turbo Reaver of any kind. Is the only point of this build catching a Toss rushing to Arbs? If so then Best seems like the guy to do it against but still, this seems so narrow.

Maybe they can give him special training as well? Not that he's a particularly valuable part of the team, but it would be nice if he played well.

The expo helped him stay afloat for a while in the midgame transition, but it's also why BeSt could counter his critical first push even after a double expand.

The expo would have come in handy if he was able to cripple BeSt, but not quite finish him off. Then he can transition out or just macro up another push. He missed his timing by a bit though, and that expo didn't do much to help him (staying afloat in a losing situation with a BO loss isn't helpful).

Day 2 was decent (although so much cheese was flying around, and Best should have won that game vs Lomo) and Day 1 was a one-sided stomp with the only good game being Fantasy vs JD Yes, but fantasy against Jaedong pretty much made the entire playoffs worth it. Also, Wemade is going to come back better tomorrow, but I still see them losing. We'll say 4-3, with fantasy taking the ace match over Pure. Some solid games today, but the best one was obviously Bisu/Pure. Best PvP of 2010 in my book. On July 24 2010 16:38 moopie wrote: Yup. I'm not so sure he missed a timing, but rather that BeSt went reavers. If BeSt goes dts, or more gates, or two base arbs (which is what one would probably expect) then Midas's push probably works. But reavers were the perfect counter. Although, to be fair, BeSt did have a lot of dragoons when Midas pushed, so he may very well have missed a timing. Or he may not have even practiced that build much at all, because he didn't expect protoss on Grand Line.

s2 said that he was send out to snipe Baby on roadrunner but got a ZvZ instead. Bisu said that he had only one shot at victory at the end. Soo said that he was preparing for a ZvP but wasn't surpised by a ZvT Best said he sensed Midas was going deep six and built a reaver.

However, something dramatic needs to be done about this certain Canata fellow. He looks and plays like a wreck at the moment, but we still need a 2nd T. Hmmm I dunno about beating KT... PvP is so scary.
