Found it! I'm also one of the guys who strictly uses the left sidebar. First visit to the forum index in like...6 months or so now. Anyways, really excited about this
Edit: and I just read the rules, for some reason I just saw a mafia thread and thought "oh sweet, no need to read the rules, it'll most likely be exactly like the last mafia game I played". Either way, I'm caught up now. Edit2: Confirming that I received my role.
|
I say we vote snow the first 2-3 days. Then if it seems that the mafia's getting lucky with their kills we might do fog for 2 days after that, then move on to rain for pretty much the rest of the game unless we find a strong need for an assassin to make a kill (like we somehow get a really strong lead on more than one guy).
|
Sorry about not being active. I had a few things going on these past few days and got a little too lazy to read during the little free time I had. I'm catching up on the thread right now, I remember how much inactives sucked from the last game I played, so I apologize again for this.
|
Well, I figured it was probably best for me to lie low since I didn't have much of use to mention during the course of this game. The last two mafia games I played imo I think I hurt the town more than help since I'm usually quick to jump on really crappy clues, and start bandwagons with other people. I thought that with all the other people who are seemingly inactive, I'd be safe in just lying low until I had something good to contribute. If this makes me suspicious (which I already know it does, but as I mentioned, I figured I'd be safe considering the other inactives) then I guess I'll do more to contribute, even if it doesn't do the town much good =/
|
Also, my votes for BC and ydg probably have more to do with me being quick to hop on bandwagons as well...
|
(triple posting so my edits don't make me look like I'm hiding something)
and I guess me being quick to defend myself isn't helping my case. Whatever, I don't really think there's a strong enough case for any of the current alternatives for lynching, but I'll do my best to try to dig up any clues that haven't already been revealed for others.
|
Just curious, what link to spiders are you guys talking about? I only recall in the first day post that the former Emperor's uncle had an erratic fear of spiders, not exactly linking to a mafioso.
|
Wow...this just feels as if you just want to believe I'm mafia and are grasping at straws to point the finger at me. I'm not familiar with the way Plexa creates his clues, but all of your findings seem completely out there considering you're digging all of this up from a blog asking wtf Twilight was.
Considering I don't have any counters to your argument other than questioning your clue deciphering abilities I guess I have nothing to defend myself with =/ This is kind of the reason I didn't want to say much, since I tended to come up with random conclusions based on little evidence in my last games as well.
|
After all of this...I kind of, in an odd sort of way, hope I get lynched just to see how Pyrr tries to defend himself when I don't turn up red, because honestly, with the way you're pressing for everyone to go out of their way to come after me, you'd look pretty suspicious once I'm proven innocent.

That's a terrible way of thinking. As well as very suspicious. Lol, I guess how you can see that. Although I don't want to be lynched obviously, just saying it'd seem a bit funny if it did happen considering the sudden attention he's given me.

I'm probably also leaning heavily on voting to lynch ecomania. Again, for all of the reasons ydg already pointed out. Usually I'd say that the clues against him seem pretty crappy, but as he has nothing on his profile but his name, I think it's safe to say that the clues are about as strong as they can be without being blatantly obvious.

So I'm late, but ehhhhh, maybe I can help out. First, the voting record of all three since day one (top of their respective lists) to day 6 (their current vote anyways)
+ Show Spoiler + Chaoser
L
ydg abstain
ecomania
Faronel Pyrrhuloxia
Malongo
L
TruthBringer
BloodyCobbler
ecomania
Faronel Not voted yet
Lenwe Abstain
TruthBringer
BloodyCobbler
ecomania
Faronel Chaoser
As this shows, all of them except chaoser voted for Truthbringer to be lynched. Ecomania obviously had to be lynched as the two main candidates for that day were both mafia and it'd look suspicious for them not to vote for one of them. Also this could explain his relative lack of activity (I like to think that all pledges would probably lie low since they're the most susceptible to role and vote checks), and of course I say all of this with the realization that I voted for ydg and am relatively inactive as well. I'm not completely convinced that chaoser is the pledge in this list, and I'll try to do some further analysis (when they voted for their respective lynches and some clue analysis) later to make sure we're not making a mistake with this.
|
Bah, was about to edit, then thought against it. Anyways, if we were just voting for chaoser based on those two things listed above, then it would seem like a pretty bad bandwagon, but when compared to both Lenwe and Malongo, he seems the most likely to be mafia.
As I said, I'll look into Lenwe and Malongo and see if I can find any evidence that would make them more guilty than chaoser, but if I don't find anything, then I think chaoser would be our best candidate.
|
Well, I kind of suck with clues, but here's some basic analysis of their voting times.
+ Show Spoiler + Chaoser
L(don't think Emperor vote matters since both leading candidates were green)
ydg (originally abstained when it was too close to call, with neither candidate having more than 3 votes, then Truthbringer started gaining votes quickly, and when ydg started getting close again, he voted ydg) abstain (abstained 14 hours once the vote opened, then didn't change after that)
ecomania(voted for ecomania when the voting was tied 4-4. If chaoser is mafia, then this would make sense as motbob seemed to be more useful than ecomania.)
Faronel(second to vote, and voted to lynch me. He then changed and was the first to vote Faronel, being the first on the bandwagon. Prior to this he was in the lead to be lynched.) Pyrrhuloxia
Malongo
L
TruthBringer(quickly voted for heavonearth, then switched his vote when the vote was tied between ydg and Truthbringer at 5-5)
BloodyCobbler x 2(used both votes on BC when he was behind ecomania and kuja by 3 and 4 votes respectively, bandwagon started after this)
ecomania(voted last minute when ecomania was already clearly in the lead)
Faronel(voted fairly early and didn't switch) Not voted yet
Lenwe Abstain
TruthBringer(voted Truthbringer when the votes were tied 10-10 with ydg)
Kuja900/BloodyCobbler(originally voted Kuja-Falcynn, when Kuja was far in the lead with everyone else not no further than 3 votes. Then changed his vote from me to BloodyCobbler once ecomania fell behind BC 10-12)
ecomania(voted for ecomania when he was ahead, like my reasons for Chaoser, this makes sense since motbob was more useful it seems than motbob)
Faronel(voted when Faronel was ahead of everyone by over 5 votes) Chaoser

falcynn i know you are green why can't you see this? Bah, I don't know. I was originally hoping that I could stall long enough for people to generate some discussion and get a clear pick. Although I guess that's not happening, my gut says chaoser though and I haven't gotten any reasonable support to say otherwise.

Although I'll admit, the sudden bandwagon voting is disturbing me...

Dude, don't edit your post like that
Before his edit he mentioned clasic, Lenwe, and someone else (I refreshed and since apparently you can't unrefresh I missed the third guy) as his primary suspects. If he does turn out innocent then this may be worth noting.

Sorry for the triple post, but also, if we get this one wrong, we still have a chance at winning, but we can not miss a singly lynch after this.
