Is this generally the mindset you want when fighting against metal ZvT? Gosia double expands when he scouts it, and masses heavily upgraded mutaling. (The broodlings were hot, btw) Should I look at this replay as a general guideline to fighting metal? Mass expand, mutaling, upgrades are very important, counter his base when he moves out? I can't help but think that Gosia made a large mistake in neglecting his 3rd carapace and any ling attack upgrades, and by switching tech to ultra he created a massive timing window that IdrA had no problem exploiting. | ||

Rekrul in his finals against Assem at WCG USA talked shit IRL. Half the korean pro gamers dance around like fucking morons after they beat their opponent just to rub it in. Dont act like IdrA is some kind of anomally. And dont get me started on draco/testie. | ||

And it was a macro slip by IdrA and the great macro of Paranoid combined with the power of the ultra that won it for Paranoid. IdrA faults Paranoid but in reality, its greg's fault he slipped on macro and Paranoid took advantage of the opening like _any_ good player would. | ||

On the game, I thought it was quite nice, but I think Gosia made a mistake going Ultras. They're not that great vs metal and I think he would have been much better served with hydras, lings guards and defilers. Well palyed by both though - Idra's macro is quite strong. | ||
