Ok, I'm Conaanaa and I make audio commentaries on broodwar matches. You might have already seen my map as well, Roundabout. Anyways, if you want to see my VODs, here you go.

But, the main reason I created this topic is because I want to make commentaries on new matches such as OGN matches but they only come in the form of VODs so I must download them and record from the Windows Media Player, yet my recorder, Camtasia, doesn't like them.
They turn out to be huge files and not only that but when I try and compress them to make it smaller and put on youtube it says there's some sort of codec error. If anyone knows how to fix this please help!

Just record your audio while watching the VOD, and post the MP3 and a link to the VOD.
If you want to put them on Youtube, you just need to replace the original audio with yours (or mix it with the VOD audio, I'm not sure what the easiest way to do that is). VirtualDub makes it easy for .avi's, I'm not sure what to use for wmv.

Ok well I can turn off the sound from the korean VOD so that doesn't effect it much and I use camtasia which saves the file as an .avi but when I try and compress with VirtualDub it has some codec error! Good idea of just putting vod somewhere else but I'd still like the ability to post on youtube.

Why use Camtasia? You already have the video. Just record your audio with sound recorder or whatever.

how are you? you sound like 8. It's horrible.
But anyway, whatever one does for community, props to him

Oh... ! Ok, well I'll need to find out how to combine the wmv and mp3 together with VirtualDub, do you know how? Thanks for that idea I think it will work

PetrBlaha, I get that a lot, I'm 14 btw.

Be prepared for this summer, something strange should happen ! It's called mutation >

VirtualDub only does avi, I'm sure there's similar tools for wmv though.

Ya ya, when I get tall and my voice cracks and everything, I know!
