Sorry I haven't been around. I've been much busier than expected due to the later-start for this game, and I've requested to be replaced. I'm currently reading the thread to give you guys some reads before I depart for good. I'll be around for another hour or two, so please feel free to ask me anything.

Townies: Roundaboud IamRobik Thrawn Vivax420 The first three should be self-explanatory and fairly non-controversial at this stage. All are active and clearly care about generating thread activity and pushing pro-town objectives. Thrawn is the least active of the bunch, but his early interaction with IamRobik is very townie, and is something he's done in past games. He frequently likes to draw attention onto himself in the early-game to start discussion (see his self-aware miller "claim" in Hero Mini Mafia - a game without self-aware millers), whereas his scum-games tend to be much more serious in tone (and lurky). Vivax420 might require some explanation. Simply, his attitude towards me has been correct and very townie. This post is a prime example: On February 14 2014 14:22 VIVAX420 wrote: until he talks more, he's bh's problem not ours. There is really no point in wasting a lynch on someone who is going to be dealt with anyway. He understands that a player in my position (1 post in 24 hours, generally afk from the thread) is not worth wasting discussion on or worth wasting a lynch on. Wheras mafia are far more incentivized to try and push a lurker lynch here, and want to waste lynches on players like me. After this, there's a very broad category of players I'm not quite sure about... Null Mattchew Grackaroni QuantumPope Mattchew Mordanis sidesprang I have slight town-reads on some of these players, but I'd rather not elaborate on them. Simply put, these weak town reads I feel would create more harm than good, and make players jump to conclusions. None of these players have much in their filters worth drawing conclusions from. The exception may be Grackaroni (as he's been active and chaotic in-thread), but I feel that I wouldn't be able to accurately read a player like him (spammy) without a full look at his meta. I can elaborate if asked to do so, but I'd rather field questions about my scumreads: Mafia ShaioPi JarJarDrinks I would lynch ShaioPi for this post alone: On February 13 2014 07:36 ShiaoPi wrote: wanna kill the abomination known as vivax/kush hydra? I am feeling really itchy... #Vote:VIVAX420 It was made on page 18 of the thread. Actual discussion was taking place, and it is far too late for joke votes. However it is clearly not a 100% serious vote. The main problem I have with this post is that it's sole purpose is to antagonize, as opposed to do anything constructive. There is no purpose to this vote other than to insinuate a negative opinion of vivax/kush. Futhermore, this is very uncharacteristic for a town ShaioPi, who's generally a very polite and constructive player. Combined with the uselessness of the rest of his filter, he's a very strong mafia read for me. JarJarDrinks also made a very highly suspect post: On February 14 2014 01:03 JarJarDrinks wrote: Yes. would lynch scummy <> only indicative of a mafia mindset. You read DNP as scum because he made 1 shitty post and then peaced. I have seen plenty of town make 1 shitty post and go awol for a while. Can you tell me why this tell is only indicative of a mafia mindset? Uh neither. I think they are both scummy but I think it's unlikely that they are both scum together. Is something wrong w/ that? He first expresses a willingness to lynch me in the first part of his post. However, he them criticizes roundabound's case on me, saying that he's seen townies do what I do, and suggests it's not allignment indicative. This post essentially shows that JarJar is willing to lynch a player for reasons *other* than that player being mafia - an incredibly mafia motivated mindset. Then despite his criticism of roundabout's "case" on me, he posts this: On February 14 2014 14:10 JarJarDrinks wrote: I think we should definitely consider it. Like he makes 1 post, people jump on him about it and he disappears? Maybe he's scurd. Like, If he was scum and could get through the entire first day lynch free w/o posting anything else, why wouldn't he? What he was calling non-alignment indicative before, he's now calling scummy for some really wierd speculative reasons. I find it hard to explain this change in mentality, and I think the most plausible explanation is that he forgot about his earlier push and is trying to push a lynch mindlessly. Lastly, there's this string of two posts... On February 14 2014 10:51 JarJarDrinks wrote: DNP would be fine w/ me. ShiaoPi also. Still don't like sidespring who's kinda lurking but he's right that I attacked him a bunch in the last game and we were both town so I'm gonna back off a bit. I'd rather give people more of a chance to post though before we go ahead and lynch them. On February 14 2014 11:10 JarJarDrinks wrote: sure grack too ...which reads a lot like "meh, i'll lynch anyone."

On February 13 2014 08:30 DoNotPanic! wrote: Why are you attacking the try-hardest person in the thread Rayn? I was following the thread up until that point, and I read Robik as incredibly townie. He was being very try-hard, and the way he responded to Thrawn's "trolling" seemed very genuine (even if wrong). Rayn then jumped on Robik for a set of actions that I determined to be obviously townie. Rayn's attack was needlessly antagonistic, and just generally bad, hence I made that post. It is something I found suspicious while it was happening, but the subesquent unvote and the remainder of Rayn/Mocsta's filter reads as very townie.

I do have some reservations on JarJar, namely that he seems like lynch-bait in his past games. However I do think it is best for him to explain his actions, as his attitude towards me was very scummy. Particularly him calling my first post "null" initially, then twisting it into a scum-tell later.

Noted Shaio is certainly abrasive this game. But aggressive? I don't think so. I consider the tone to be non-allignment indicative. I consider the lack of content to be scummy. Does Mattchew sheep delurk affect your null read? ~moc Not really. He's a very selfish/trollish player in general, and I could see scum or town Mattchew doing something like that.

I certainly do not like QP's play, and it doesn't have very much content. His "re-entry" post just calls Robik and Mattchew's reactions "strange" as opposed to anything conclusive or worthwhile. But while it's easy to criticize his posting, he's in the same boat as a lot of other players right now. He'd be on my scum-list if he was the lone player behaving like this, but sadly he is not. I also see no reason to jump to conclusions about him until he posts more content.

Before I go though, some general advice to the town: long days are town-favored! This setup allows the town to take time and get answers from everything before committing to a lynch. The worst thing that town can do in this game is rush to hammer a lurker. Patience is the key to this setup.
