WCS Europe wrapped up its Challenger League for Season 2, determining the last four group winners and finalizing the Season 3 Premier League Roster. ForGG, FireCake, KrasS, and Genius were able to grab the final four spots, with MaNa, Beastyqt, Tefel, and AlaStOr missing the cut.

Overall, it was a season that offered several newcomers a chance to shine, while many veterans also lost their foothold in the Premier League. ShoWTimE, Targa, Noname, BlinG, FireCake, and Genius are all first time EU Premier League players, and will look to make the best of their opportunity. On the other hand, several players who were initially season into the Premier League at the start of the year dropped out, with SortOf, DIMAGA, Ret, Bly and MaNa needing to work their way back up from Challenger.

Pretty balanced but still Toss mostly.

TLO standing strong! If he makes it to the Season finals in the US then he has a good shot at making the top 16 for the Grand Finals. C'mon Liquid!

Where are you Ret!

3 Polish players (Mana, uzer, Tefel) lost their promotion matches QQ

Wow, I totally missed how ShowTime managed to secure himself the top spot in his group. Granted it wasn't (one of) the strongest group, but still mad respect for him! The same goes to KrasS, now we will finally see more non-Protoss Germans in Code S! :D

firecake .. how, just how ..

Wow 15 toss. GomTvT gone ESLPvP

Hoping to see Stardust make a deep run!

Wished SortOf and Ret had made it instead of 2 protoss, then the balanced would have been decent.
|
I'd just wish for Thorzain to provide some entertaining games again. Back in WoL, he was such a great guy, and I really miss him making strong appearances in tournaments.

Number of Koreans rising with every season. Now there are 9 Koreans in EU Premier. It's definitely slower, but I'm afraid of the trend..

Not to forget that 4th place finishers are completely out of Challenger (like Ret(!!!)).

Taeja's place in this Season Finals combined with Season 3 may land him there too hopefully!

So, should there be WCS Europe 2014 with same rules we will have 20 toss (11->12->15->i take a wild guess of 20)?

Since the wall of lag keeps other races away from the qualifiers we should be fine.

It's like the polar opposite of WoL where it was common to see ZZZZZZZZZZZZTTTTTTTTPP :D

This firecake thing is kind of a joke i hope. Otherwise lineup looks cool (lack a bit of zergies tho)

The problem being that the top 8 from last season still get in. So the fact the top 8 was 6 Protoss means the Protoss favouring is not going to end.
However a crap ton of Terrans got in this season and I would be surprised if MMA and mvp weren't up there at the end of the season. So it's not all bad. Zergs just gotta step it up. If FireCake can do it, so can you!
