GanZi has announced on his twitter that he will be retiring citing wrist issues which he cannot recover from.
김동주 @GanZi1987 I'm retire sc2
김동주 @GanZi1987 Can't recovery for my wrist.
Ganzi started his career on woongjin stars in BW where he most notably took a map off jaedong. In SC2 he was most famously part of slayers winning GSL August code A and top 4 of GSL October 2011. Joining complexity after slayers folded he most notably achieved high finishes in multiple MLGs before finally ending his career on azubu where his most significant accomplishment was an all kill of new star hoseo.

Damn He produced some really really good games. So many good blokes retiring lately

such a sad reason for retirement :/ unfortunately wrist issues is a huge issue for all progamers. i don't think everyone know how to prevent wrist issues, not that you can ever 100 % protect yourself from it when you play so much (I think).

A lot of retires recently O_o

I think it's just ushering in a new generation really. Sad to see them go, but the future looks exciting.

Ganzi has had wrist problems for quite a while. I was actually surprised he still played in the GSTL for Azubu. Best of lucky to him in the future!

hmm wrists probably didn't help his case. He hasn't gotten any achievements lately right? I remember he was considered a top terran back when Slayers was still alive. Best of luck to him!

Another top player going down due to wrist problems. its so sad to see. I really hope Teams will do something about it, teach players ways to prevent injuries on your body etc.

Some sad shit .

Health is health,i guess if he's been playing since BW the human body sometime can't handle such gesture. That's sad especially since he was a very likeable fella. Hope the best for him in life.

He'd actually be a really good Korean commentator with his personality. I can see him having a good career if he ever decided to transition into that.
