a while back, pheer deleted my post in the ABL.
It was a series of six 800x800 images that had a request for my banning depending on the result of the election.
Ask pheer to show it to you if you want.
Given my past history of self-martyring in the ABL, the lighthearted nature of ABL posting, the fact that pheer doesn't know any of that, and the fact that the images only took up 4800x800 pixels, I believe this was a misuse of mod power.

Isn't the maximum width 730 pixels? A few months back I got this warning from the TL.net bot.
Hello, You recently posted some large images in this thread. The recommended maximum width for images on our forums is 730 pixels wide. By posting images larger than this, you can cause long load times and wasted CPU and bandwidth. Please consider resizing your images next time, or use the 'Upload Image' feature in the message composition window as this will automatically host and resize your images to fit the forums. Thanks.
Maybe pheer was annoyed about so many images of the wrong size. Edit: also it could be considered to be spam.

Same principle applies to my screen; spoiler your huge images next time.

I'm surprised there would ever be a warning for that when every user on the site already has the option to enable/disable automatic image resizing. That option is off by default for a reason. While large images are automatically resized when that option is on, it does so after the image has loaded, meaning that cycles and bandwidth have both been wasted already. Also, the automatic resizing does nothing to mitigate the length of a picture, which means that long images such as the one in this thread are still annoying.

That was no real "mod-warning" just an automated "heads up" from the Bot. At least I hope so, since I got one several month ago when I was helping with a post and put it as a whole in spoilers ^^
