I'm glad for this change because it might give Mvp more time to prepare for his match and crush Rain. ^ My fanboyness for Mvp speaking
I do like GSL's attempts to accommodate other tournaments' schedules. I wish MLG would do this instead of, say, scheduling one of their Arenas on the same day of another premier tournament.

Aight. Sounds good. Gives the players an extra day to practice for the ro4 and maybe builds a little more hype in the process :D

Nice! GSL is the premier tournament but even then, they are pretty accomodating
|
Too bad. Won't be able to watch code s ro4 then.

I thought the GSL Ro4 would be at IPL? Did that change?

Cool, each semifinal gets it's own special day of hype along with Code A pre-show.

I'm wondering too, what happened with that?

That's S5.
GSL Season 5 is going to be a month long and end at IPL5. Blizzard Cup will be after that to finish off the year.

I also totally read the schedule wrong.

I'd say that they are the most accomodating tournament in the scene today. It's always GSL adjusting themselves to other tournaments, never the other way around. I guess that is both the advantage and the disadvantage of running a 5 day a week tournament.

Owning their own studio also helps. It is pretty hard to reschedule a weekend tournament because you have to book a lot in advance and a lot of times, the tournament is joined with an expo/convention. Not really feasible to move a Friday - Sunday tournament to Saturday - Monday.
I also think the GOM post made a mistake. The 2 schedules should be flip around
Original
Tuesday + Wednesday = Code A Thursday = Code S semi
New
Tues = Code A Wednesday + Code S semi (since Rain has WCS Asia) Thursday = Code A

I think the schedule itself is wrong.... Rain is the only one from the shifted days who is in WCS. So it makes no sense to move him closer to WCS Asia. And normal Code S schedule has always been CodeA/CodeA/CodeS.
