The time has come for the Premier group matches of the IGN Pro Team League!
Group A Schedule: Liquid vs EG: September 11
SlayerS vs MVP: September 18
Liquid vs MVP: September 25
SlayerS vs EG: October 2
SlayerS vs Liquid: October 9
MVP vs EG: October 16
When: Tuesday, Oct 02 11:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) (we will also rebroadcast repeatedly afterwards!)
Format
Premier Division Group A is made up of four teams: Team Liquid, SlayerS, MVP, and Evil Geniuses. Group B contains LG-Incredible Miracle, StarTale, Prime, and TSL. Both groups will play round robin against each other team in their group. When group stages are over, the top two teams from each Group will play in a playoff for the $9,000 first prize!

For sure, and the best part is, with all of EG's money, they can pick up the good players like Coca, Puzzle, MMA, and Miso to create an even stronger team while they let the rest of SlayerS bteamers go homeless.

SlayerS should win this, but I am hoping for an EG upset! If Demuslim is starter perhaps could take a few if he plays right. He was tearing people up on stream last night.

I don't think Stephano will play in this, so EG will probably lose.

It will be close but I think Puma/JYP/Stephano have the potential to beat any member of Slayers. Demu and Huk are good enough to beat any of the b-teamers and potential pull off some upsets.

The question is not whether or not EG will win or lose, it's how many games Stephano can win XD But in all seriousness, Slayers BTeam has been wrecking of late....

Can't wait for this, should be a great series. I expect Huk, Puma and JYP to be EG's main players due to the servers. I'd love to see more from some of the SlayerS reserves, like Eve, Dark, Arthur or KDY, though the latter still only makes me think of KY Jelly.
Let's go EG! A 2-0 record in the IPTL would offset the 3-2 losses in the MCSL.
Though I expect SlayerS will be sly and snipe the hell out of EG. Deploying someone with a predetermined cheese build against Idra, Huk, Stephano or Thorzain, sending out a Terran as soon as JYP takes the field (MMA vs JYP anyone?), throwing Ryung at Puma and so on. Though Puma vs Ryung have been amazing TvTs in the past.

SlayerS is probably the underdog this time around, even their a-team has not been performing well, and the supposed return of CoCa has not happened. Though SlayerS has talented players in their b-team, EG has a lot of depth and skilled players who can take them on evenly or at a superior level. I think EG has the upper hand this time, with players like Stephano, PuMa and JYP capable of giving SlayerS a huge problem.

JYP was Slayers ace in the last GSTL and isn't even EG's best player (Stephano). I don't think EG will lose, but then again, EG curse.

Ehh.. that's debatable. Yeah he had 2 great performances, but at the end of the day they relied more on Puzzle and CoCa.

I would LOVE to see MMA step up to the plate as the SlayerS Endboss and CRUSH Stephano with his insane Multi tasking.
