WCG Canada will send 11 players to the WCG Grand Final that will be held in Kunshan, China. (Nov 29 to Dec 2.) Participants from across the country will represent Canada at the following 3 games:
- CrossFire (1 team of 5 players)
- Starcraft 2 (3 players)
- FIFA 12 (3 players)

Thanks in part to Samsung’s sponsorship, for the first time ever, WCG Canada is thrilled to be able to bring the national finals to three locations across the country,” said Thierry St-Jacques-Gagnon, CEO of WCG Canada. ”Through this new tournament format, we are hoping to uncover talented cyber athletes from coast to coast to represent Canada at this year’s WCG Grand Final in China.”
From the serious competitor to the casual player, WCG Canada players and visitors alike can experience gaming on Samsung technology at each of the regional final events. Visitors can experience game play on the new Samsung GS III, Series 7 and 9 laptops and SMART TVs onsite.
Anyone in Canada can register to compete free of charge through either an online qualifying round or through regional finals for the three official gaming titles: StarCraft® II: Wings of Liberty, FIFA 12 and Cross Fire®. Courtesy of Samsung Canada, the online winners of StarCraft II and FIFA 12 will each win preferred tournament seeding and travel to their closest regional final competition. For Cross Fire, the online qualifier will determine the top three teams that will join last year’s Champions in the finals, to be held in Montreal, Quebec.

Central regional finals (StarCraft II and FIFA 12 only) – October 19 – 21, 2012 at Toronto Eaton Centre’s Albert’s Way Promotion Court (outside Swarovski), 220 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON
Western regional finals (StarCraft II and FIFA 12 only) – October 26 – 28, 2012 at Metropolis at Metrotown Atrium Court, 4700 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC
Eastern regional finals (StarCraft II, FIFA 12) and Cross Fire national final – November 2 – 4, 2012 at Complexe Desjardins Grande-Palace, 150 Ste. Catherine St. West, Montreal QC
Courtesy of Samsung Canada, the top three StarCraft II and FIFA 12 e-Sport competitors – one winner from each regional final – will each win a trip to represent Canada at the 2012 WCG Grand Final in Kunshan, China (November 29 – December 2, 2012). The top Cross Fire team in Canada will also win travel to represent Canada in the Grand Finals.
