You persevered and earned your team a victory with three kills. How do you feel?
I feel very great. Because I was knocked out of the GSL qualifiers, I felt some regret, but since I was able to show good form during this team league, I feel good.
You played a set against aLive. Did you prepare to play against him in advance?
Because aLive is a good player, our team's players were reluctant to face him. Leenock-hyung was originally set to go out, but he wanted to play in the ace match, so I was the one who was sent out instead.
You didn't seem to have much trouble against aLive.
Because I hadn't played in a broadcasted match in a long time, I got supply blocked and wasn't able to play to the best of my abilities, so I got frustrated. But it's a relief that I was still able to win.
Against your second opponent, ByuL, you tried a cannon rush.
I had prepared to use a cannon rush before the game had begun. I had thought that it would have given me an advantage, but I became bewildered about what to do after we ended up even.
After your rush was blocked, you tried going for an Immortal-Sentry attack. Were you planning to win with that?
Yes, I was. To tell the truth, when I went in, I thought it would all be over. But as I hit my second and third engagements, my heart started pumping hard. Even as the engagements unfolded, I kept asking myself, "Am I going to end up losing after this?"
Against Fnatic's final player, Oz, you struck with Dark Templar.
Originally, our team had planned to snipe Oz using Gumiho-hyung or Leenock-hyung, so I hadn't planned out this strategy in advance. I was originally just going to keep putting on pressure as the match went along. But when I entered Oz's base and became sure that he had gone for Stargate tech, I began producing DTs to perform an attack.
With today's victory, FXO has advanced to the winners' match. Which team do you want to play against?
I want to play against TSL. Since I have had experience performing multiple kills last season, I think I can do well.
What is your goal for this season?
Our goal is naturally to win the tournament. Since all of the participating teams are strong, we won't be able to know the results until after we play, but if we put in a lot of practice, I think we will be able to show similar results as we did last season.
Because you were eliminated from the GSL qualifiers, you have no other scheduled matches at the moment. How do you plan to spend your time?
In a few days, I will play in the MLG qualifiers. After that, I am thinking of preparing for the GSL qualifiers and the GSTL again.
Any last words?
Supreme, our coach, had his grandmother pass away, which is very sad. The hyungs at the team house are always taking care of me, so I'm grateful to them.
