TheShimmy's Rush Week is an open tournament for all BW players in college. It is open to all skill levels. All rounds are single elimination Bo3 until the semi-finals. Signups are open to the first 32 to sign up! You can be a part or full time student at any college or university (US or foreign). Please don't lie and say you're in school to sneak into the tournament. Anybody caught doing so will be banned from all events I ever host ever. First prize will be receiving $50, and second $25. Not to mention ultimate bragging rights!

Rules

-No excessive BMing or chatting during matches. Don't "chat rush" your opponent or fake gg out.
-Once a player types "gg" the game is over and that player has lost.
-All rounds prior to the Semi-Finals are Bo3, semi-finals are Bo5 and finals are Bo5
-Only College BW players are permitted to play. If you are a recent graduate (class of 2010 or 2011) you may sign up but your spot is contingent on the number of students signed up. Faculty and staff are also welcome to sign up.
-Any level of college may sign up, from freshman to grad/professional school.
-All matches must be played on ICCup. If excessive lag exists another server may be used.
-All winners must PM me the results and send replays via email to: drtltwitch@gmail.com
-I prefer you play only one race throughout the tournament, but if you must, you can race-pick. But, no switching races in a series.
-No hacking or cheating. Please use the ICCup Anti-Hack launcher.
-Anything else, just PM me.

I wanted to keep it simple since the players will likely be studying books instead of maps. In future tourneys I can crank it up, but I may possibly mix it up a little.

Also are you signing up yourself?

If you fix the map pool I will play. However, I won't play in a tournament with a map pool that features 4/5 maps where moderns strategies don't work on them simply because they are simply outdated and are not compatible with macro oriented play.

I don't know whats so hard about having a map pool exclusively with current OSL/Proleague maps.

Okay so I will definitely be changing the Map Pool to be more compatible with current OSL/Proleague standards. I'll be expanding the pool to seven maps and keeping a few from this pool.

Expect an update in the OP with expansion of rules and map pool to come tomorrow!

I don't know anything newer than Fighting Spirit and HBR; I liked the original pool!
