Players that have >0 results tend to be less accessible to individual sponsorships, unless a company wants to be someone's 8th name on the list of sponsor shoutouts. Nobody even bothers listening to sponsor shoutouts for that long or looking at every brand patch on the player's shirt. This way, Xlord is going to be primarily representing XMG wherever he goes, and if he does well, XMG basically hits a gold mine (relative to their investment). If he doesn't do well, they still get some exposure from it, it's not too bad. And he's undeniably talented, so if you're going to gamble on someone, he's probably one of the better choices. | ||

Except he was one of the most talented WC3 players, dominating Germany at a very young age and being quite decent at SC2 while focusing on school a lot. Now that he will play fulltime he might make a big impact. If he doesn't get the top results he is still a huge personality in the German scene and that's woirth something | ||
