KT KTF Premiere League - 2nd Edition
September 2004 - January 2005
Introduction
This will be a bit more detailed than the one Benny did on Premier League #1.
For those who do not know or fully remember: the Premier League is not/was not (I do not know wether there might be another one in the future) a regular Starleague. It was a cooperative project between Ongamenet and MBCGame. A total of 20 players was put into two seperate groups, each player played against each player from his group plus against 2 players from the other group. So it made up for a total of 11 games within the Group Phase.
From there it went from Group Internal Playoffs to Group Finals and in the end the winner of Group A played the winner of Group B in the Grand Finals.
Sponsored by the gigantic Korea Telecom and its branch Korea Telecom Freetel the name of the league was KT-KTF, with one of the groups named KT Megapass and the other one KTF Fimm (which are both service brands, hooray for massive advertising. Thanks to fw for explaining this).
Four Maps were used: Requiem, Arizona, Luna and Nostalgia. Right before each group match the players would each discard one map and the actual map to be played on would be drawn out of the maps left. The games were played on two days per week, one day 5 games on Ongamenet and the other day 5 games on MBCGame.

So Group A had 2 Protoss, 5 Terran and 3 Zerg players, while Group B had 4 Protoss, 4 Terran and 2 Zerg players. Makes up for 6 Protoss, 9 Terran and 5 Zerg players overall.
