After months of preparation we are finally ready to announce the HEAT Charity – Live from Berlin Tournament in which 4 Players, selected for their skills, looks and passion for the game, will play for their glory and a charity of their choice. It will take place at February 4th, starting at 14:00 CET
None other than Totalbiscuit will commentate on site in Berlin at the CK-99 – The Next Level Lounge, joined by Soe who will be the event's host.

(ReaL replaces Phoenix who decided to participate in next GSL Code A Qualifiers ; ReaL recently participated in the Homestory IV Cup and made it to the Quarterfinals, only narrowly losing 2:3 to later finalist Sound.)

The Tournament will take place in the CK-99 – The Next Level Lounge. It offers a great atmosphere and ideal technical conditions for the players and visitors alike. There will be a different seating than shown on the images to make room for 300 Visitors.

Groupstage: every player plays vs each other in a Best of 3
Playoffs (Best of 5):
4th of Group Stage plays vs 3rd of group Stage
Winner of that match plays vs 2nd of group Stage
Winner of that match plays vs 1st of group Stage

both players have 2 Vetoes (Bo3) / 1 Veto (Bo5) each. Vetoes will be done blind, and remaining maps will be played in a random order decided at start of each series. (If both player veto same the same map(s) so more than 3/5 remain, the maps to be played will be decided randomly.
Money Distribution:
1st placed charity gets 40% of stream revenue
2nd placed charity gets 30% of stream revenue
3rd placed charity gets 20% of stream revenue
4th placed charity gets 10% of stream revenue
After the main tournament there will be fun games played as long as the players want to. For example games against the audience with ever increasing real life handicaps (eyepatch, 2 fingers taped together, mirrored display, etc.). Maybe some 2vs2 or 4vs4. We are open to suggestions from you, this is the part where we can go a bit crazy.
We try to keep the expenses as low as possible but there is some costs which you can’t avoid even if everyone organising it is doing it for free. This is mostly travel expenses for the Players and Casters and equipment rental, so parts of the sponsorship money and entrance ticket revenue will be used to cover those expenses, anything which is left will be also distributed accordingly.
For donations of viewers we will provide the option to have them donate to their favourite charity instead of spreading it, as some might only like 1 or 2 charities. We are still considering different options on how to handle donations but we will find a solution which is 100% transparent and has lowest possible transaction costs.

Overall a fun event in a lighthearted atmosphere right before the serious European tournament season really starts with Assembly Winter later in February
