Day 1 Round Up

Day 1 of the Sapphire Online Cup #2 is all wrapped up, what a start it was with everything from nukes to drops to some pretty weird Zerg play. Proceedings kicked of with an always entertaining ZvZ with SYZ vs MuLLIka in the last game after some Baneling trades SYZ manages to stop a roach push by launching a counter attack of Zerglings, finishing off MuLLIka's Roaches for the win.
Round 2 was eSahara.Naama vs Drolla the classic TvP if you hope for some nukes then you get plenty of them so one ghost cause alot of trouble for our protoss friend, it all finished in a 2-0 victory to Naama! Round 3 we saw dignitas.DreAm vs Delphi in a PvZ. DreAm came out on top 2-1 with some Phoenix harass followed by heavy stalkers.
End of Day 1 we have DreAm, RAGESeala, mTL.Tt.BLY, SHODAN, Satiini, Naama, rgnartist and Grubby all fighting it out tomorrow for that Semi Final place.

Day 2 Round Up

Day 2 started with the quarter final with Grubby vs RGNArtist, Warp Prism play from Grubby second game which ended with Artist overpowering him and but Grubby took the series 2-1.
In the semi finals it was DreAm vs SHODAN, first game SHODAN kicks things off with a 2 base timing attack over running DreAm's base for the GG. Game 2 it looked like SHODAN had DreAm on the back foot after a failed cannon rush by the Protoss, but through good gameplay DreAm managed to get some aggressive force fields in and seised the opportunity to fight back, for a 1-1 conclusion. Game 3 meant some bad engagements and general decision making by SHODAN which cost him that space in the final.
Second semi-final was Grubby vs Naama, alot of back and forth resulted in a 1-1 in the third game Naama attempted a proxy Starport which Grubby held off with Phoenix then Naama went for his traditional heavy marine style. Without EMP's on his ghosts Grubby's force walks through, and he proceeds to the final.
Team Grubby vs Team Dignitas DreAm grand final PvP, game 1 turned into a base race with Grubby using a 1 base Dark Templar push and DreAm going for blink, which ended in Grubby taking the first game. With some nicely placed immortals Grubby also took game 2, DreAm manages to pull it back in Game 3 with some slick Protoss moves. Game 4 breaks down to Gateway wars ending in an all out stalker fight ending in Grubby taking it with the better composition overall.
