The Intel Extreme Masters Kiev event is fast approaching, and we’d like to share the details on how to qualify for the South East Asia Region.

2 Player from South East Asia is eligible to attend the IEM Kiev event in Ukraine. Here is how we will determine who this player will be:

- 2 Qualification slots at IEM Kiev SEA Qualifier #1 - on Friday 2nd December 2011
- 2 Qualification slots at IEM Kiev SEA Qualifier #2 - on Saturday 3rd December 2011
- 2 Qualification slots at IEM Kiev SEA Qualifier #3 - on Sunday 4th December 2011
- 2 Qualification slots at IEM Kiev SEA Qualifier #4 - on Monday 5th December 2011

Anyone is eligible to enter these qualifiers, however there will be a maximum of 32 players per qualifier, so make sure you sign up fast! More than 32 players can sign-up, but only 32 can check in. So make sure you're online an hour before the events to be one of the first 32 to check-in. You will be able to sign up for all/any of the qualifiers at the same time. If you have signed up for all the qualifiers and you qualify in the first event, your sign-up will then be removed from the further events.

The qualifiers will be bo3 double elimination style. Because this is a qualifying event, players will be manually seeded according to their skill level in previous ESLSEA cups. If players have not competed in any ESLSEA cups, then they will be added to a group and randomly seeded after all the known players have been.

1 IEM slot at SEA Final (Championship Brackets) - Friday the 9th December 2011
This means you have 4 chances to qualify for the championship brackets. The top 2 of each qualifier cup will qualify for the final, and then the winner up of the final will go on to Kiev, Ukraine. The Faster you can qualify, the better your seed will be.

Brand new map pool that uses the same maps as every other tournament?

Some organizations other than GSL should start taking initiative and using ACTUALLY new maps.

I'm rooting for tgun. Normally, I'd be happy with either mOOnGLaDe or tgun, but mOOnGLaDe has been owning up WCG and I think it's about time tgun showed his stuff.

Tgun forfeited due to reasons he would not tell me.

Glade was going to play but he said he'd rather focus on WCG. Which is most understandable.

and fucking lucky for me and Ender!
