Part 1 of Training Camp: November 5th-17th 2011
+ Show Spoiler +
It is with great pleasure for me to announce our latest community project: CSN Training Camp, and that one of eSport's most seasoned gamers (Wiki)Violet will be competing at (Wiki)MLG Providence.

Part 2 of Training Camp: November 21st- ???
Cyber Sports Network is pround to announce that viOLet will remain in the US to continue training with the CSN Training Camp following MLG Providence.

Without the support of a team, he lacks the funds and the hardware to continue his impressive pro gaming career. Through CSN's Training Camp, he is provided with food, lodging, equipment, and more to enable his progress toward a major Starcraft 2 title. In just two weeks at our facilities in Texas, viOLet achieved Rank 1 Grandmaster on the NA server, won more than 10 on-line tournaments, and went on to make an impressive MLG Providence open bracket run. At MLG, he lost only 5 games total, taking out players such as Axslav, Jinro, and Gatored and meeting his match against SlayerS.Ganzi and MarineKingPrime. With the further support of his fans and CSN, we believe viOLet can achieve even greater results. Ultimately, the goal of the CSN Training Camp is to maintain and showcase viOLet's talent in order to find a permanent team for this passionate, talented player.

What is CSN Training Camp?
+ Show Spoiler +
CSN Training Camp is a community event that will allow fans from all over the world to watch viOlet train for 2 weeks before tackling the open bracket at MLG Providence. Through the use of live cams, fans will be able to interact with viOlet in between games as he will be trying his best to answer any questions you may have!

Headquartered in College Station, Texas, viOlet will have plenty of time to acclimate to the time zone differences from living in Korea. He will be streaming everything from his practice games on ladder to online tournaments that he will be competing in while stationed in the US.

The goal of CSN Training Camp is to give extremely passionate, talented, and dedicated players a chance to really buckle down and train for a big competition. In doing so, CSN will be providing all of the essentials & amenities so that players like viOlet can focus without the hassles of daily life. In addition we hope that many people will become fans of viOlet if they are not already, and that foreign teams will turn their attention to one of the world's most talented Zerg players.

About viOlet:
+ Show Spoiler +
Formally on team (Wiki)MVP many StarCraft II fans caught their first glimpse of viOlet in GSL May 2011, making it to the Round of 8 in Code A before being stopped by (T)MVP. That same season viOlet participated in the up/down matches and defeated
(Z)Kyrix 2-0 to qualify for Code S the next season.

After competing in Code S in the GSL during July and August viOlet fell to Code A in GSL October. He was then defeated in the up/down matches by (P)HerO, taking any GSL hopes for viOlet out of the equation.

More recently, viOlet competed at IPL3 Origins in Atlantic CIty traveling with Team AZK to compete in the open bracket. There viOlet had an outstanding run defeating the likes of (Z)Machine, &(Z)SLush, to only loose to (Z)Stephano in the round of 16 in the championship bracket, who went on to win the whole tournament.

viOlet also competed in WarCraft 3, playing for SK & Srs Gaming and captured 11 ZOTAC Cups making him the 4th all-time leader in ZOTAC Cup wins.

I like Violet, been a fan since WC3 but "one of eSport's most accomplished gamers" is just...no. Nonsense hype like that will only backfire.

Best of luck at MLG though!

It's really nice to see violet still being around and playing competitive after the house-story.

I hope he goes far in providence!

It's not "nonsense hype". Considering there are hundreds of gamers, he is one of those "accomplished gamers".

Anyway can't wait to see him at MLG!

I think this will do amazing things for the fandom of violet. That being said, I agree that it is nonsense to call him one of the most accomplished gamers. He hasn't won anything big, doesn't have brand awareness, and isn't in the top earners in SC2 alone, let alone other eSports.

Will watch.
Eagerly awaiting Techies.

He's been in Code S GSL and done decently at MLG and was successful in WC3. Pretty accomplished, despite no major tournament wins.

Always nice to see players given the opportunity to go who otherwise might not be able to.

I don't know, this might just be asking for getting researched by others for MLG. That or he'll only really stream ladder or matches that aren't as serious as he'd normally play at.

Not that i'm against this, just worried about violet. You know?

Seems like he will be fine, he does practice outside of of whatever is on the stream and he can plan accordingly.

It's something he has to think about though.
