The UC Davis Collegiate StarLeague team and UC Davis StarCraft Club, partnered with the UC Berkeley Collegiate StarLeague Team, Creative Media, Patriot Memory and TwitchTV are proud to announce the 2nd Quarterly UC Davis Open Tournament.
When: Saturday, November 5th, 2011 from 11am to 8pm (PDT)
Where: UC Davis Campus, ARC Ballroom [Map]
Format: This is a Bring Your Own Computer (B.Y.O.C.) event. If you plan on participating in any of the tournaments please arrange to transport yourself plus one StarCraft II capable computer, laptop or desktop, to the ARC Ballroom before the tournament begins. Doors open at 10am, and sign-ups will close at 11am without exception!
We will be featuring four separate but simultaneous organized tournament brackets including a 128-player 1v1 Double-Elimination Main Tournament, 2v2 All Inclusive Division and a 1v1 / 2v2 StarJeweled Division. It will be possible for players to compete in more than one bracket.
Prizes: Our tournament will feature, at minimum, the following prize pools for each respective bracket.
[1v1] Main Tournament - $500 Prize Pool
[2v2] Bo1 Tournament - $100 Prize Pool
[1v1 / 2v2] StarJeweled - Patriot Memory Prizes
You're encouraged to sign up, no matter your league. There will be additional prizes for the furthest progressing Masters, Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze players in the main tournament!
Cost: A $10 donation will grant you full access to food and drink throughout the day and a complimentary raffle ticket, as well as entry into all of the tournaments!

The winner of each game set within a match will concede map choice for the following set to his or her opponent.
Sign Up: If you are interested in participating in the 1v1 tournament, simply fill out the sign up form using the following link and you'll be automatically entered into the tournament bracket based on your ladder ranking. Sign ups for the 2v2 and StarJeweled tournaments will take place on Saturday at the LAN.

Computer setup and practice games will start at 10:00am on Saturday in the ARC Ballroom, on campus. Arrive on time to secure a good spot. The tournaments will run until their conclusion, estimated for early evening. Free play will resume after that.
Daily parking permits are purchasable from dispensing machines in the ARC parking lot. Campus parking is free on the weekends in lots 22, 35 and 47. Thanks to AlphaFerg for the tip! [Parking Map]
Here are some other LAN tournament basics you shouldn't forget:
- Ethernet cable, the longer the better.
- Power strip with enough outlets for your computer plus one.
- Headphones. Speakers are not allowed.
- Extension cord is a plus, circuit breaker outages are a pain.
- Routers and switches, if you have, to ensure you get connected.
- Do not bring alcohol, of any variety.
