We are proud to announce Stim.TV's latest endeavor, our Weekly Open Cup! This cup is open to all levels of skill, so come out and have a good time!
Schedule:
NA: Each Saturday - Checkin: 7:15PM EST / Start: 8:00PM EST
EU: Each Saturday - Checkin: 6:15PM CEST / Start: 7:00PM CEST
Both NA and EU tournaments will be held each Saturday, for a total prize pool of $300 every Saturday generously given by our sponsor: Playhem!
Prizes for the viewers! We will be giving out 1-week subscriptions to the viewers for both NA and EU tournaments every week as well, generously given by our sponsor Hotkeyit.com
Why have we changed our format? We ran Bronze/Silver, Gold/Plat, Diamond, and Master/Grandmaster tournaments every single week for over 9 months. We didn't miss a single cast of any of those events, and eventually the amount of work and dedication it took to maintain that schedule was simply overwhelming for our staff. 2 Casters and an admin for 8 tournaments a week was simply too much. With the infusion of so many other events that support the same levels of play that we always did, we decided it would be better for us on all levels to pull back a bit and simply do a weekly cup for EU and NA every Saturday.

Sounds really sweet! Though I guess it's kinda sad that it is on the exact same time as the playhem saturday daily. (Which basically means that those who think they can win the Stim one will join that one for the slightly bigger prizepool, meanwhile those who are just under that skill level will join playhem to avoid the best players that have signed up for that day).

Ok so 2 questions, will people under 18 be able to play for money in this tournament or is it the same as with the playhem daily? and also is the time on teamliquid wrong cuz it says on tournament page 7:00 p.m.

We took a few weeks off because all the stimtv staff was travelling for MLG and such, we are back and ready to roll!
