Hi everybody!
We are a young German gaming site and we are running and broadcasting our own StarCraft 2 tournament at the moment. Here we would like to give players and audiences outside of Germany some information about it, keep you updated and get your feedback
Format:
The Tournament is split into two phases: The Preliminary Phase and the Final Tournament.
The Preliminary phase consists of 8 Qualifier Tournaments, each one being held as a single elimination tournament. The last 2 players of each Qualifier Tournament will be considered the winners and advance to the Final Tournament. All matches in the Preliminary phase are best of 1 matches, except for the semi finals and the grand final, which are best of 3 matches.
The Final Tournament contains 32 players. It is a single eliminiation tournament, played over 5 rounds. All matches are best of 3 matches, except for the semi finals, the grand final and the bronze match, which are best of 5 matches.
In the Final Tournament, the 16 winners of the Qualifier Tournaments in the Preliminary Phase are paired with 16 invited pro players.
Prizepool:
The following prizes will be given away to those who are successful in the Final Tournament:
The Winner will get a XMG A501 Notebook worth over 1000 €
Second Place will win 500 € in cash
Third Place will win 300 € in cash
Fourth Place will win 100 € in cash
Places 5 to 8 will each win 50 € in cash
During the Qualifiers, some special prizes will be given away for epic achievements within the tournament. Also we have some hardware goodies that we raffle out randomly among all participants.
Additionally, each first place of a Qualifier will win 50 € in cash.
