Anyhow, the narcissist in me loves seeing my posts being quoted and replied to, which leads me to often return to threads where I've posted my amazingly clever one-liners in an attempt to see if anyone's fed my ego. What I'd like, would be if the webpage would show some kind of sign that there'd been a quote of one of my posts so that instead of having to browse through the fifteen pages of spam that's arrived since my glorious nugget of gold, I could just click the notification icon and hop straight to a page showing what posts quoted my post, making browsing, replying and mocking them easy.
The page display could be the usual folder-icon that's used on threads currently, but with some sort of tag on top of it - a huge, golden Q or something. This way, when I'd log on my account and look at the blogs section, any thread where I'd responded to which subsequently had gotten quoted by other posters would have the Q-folder icon next to them rather than just the regular red folder icon for new posts.
Of course, it could also maybe help people keep track of fast-moving debates and responses to their input without having to browse ten to twenty pages after being gone for a day.
But hey, who cares about those people? This is about my ego!
