Looks like Pawlenty is out. Funny to think that a few months ago people were saying he had it in the bag.
Perry is at 39% to win the Republican nomination on In Trade. Next is Romney on 32%. Seems like another religious fruitloop, who believes in intelligent design, wants to execute lots of criminals, believes Israel was given by God to the chosen people, prays for rain, doesn’t believe in climate change.
Not quite as ridiculous as this one though, it would appear:
“If you’re involved in the gay and lesbian lifestyle, it’s bondage. It is personal bondage, personal despair and personal enslavement” - Senator Michele Bachmann.

Please note that the below poll is for who you want to win, not who you think will win.

Please don't give her that amount of credit, she won her own dimwitted district not votes from the entire state of Minnesota. It's Representative Michele Bachmann, our senators are Al Franken and Amy Klobuchar. They had to get the votes of the entire state and it's only the sixth district that voted for Bachmann.

What a weak line-up. don't worry, you've got this.

I don't know how anyone can vote for Bachmann. That bitch is crazy as hell.
Swine Flu also came up in the 70's under Carter -- a Democrat and came back up in 2010 under Obama. I'm not saying it's directly related, but coincidence?
I can give 500 more of these comedic gold quotes from her. Ranging from her saying the Revolution started in New Hampshire to her saying that Evolutionists are trying to overthrow the world to make a one-nation government to control us all.
I'm fine with Republicans, and even Republicans winning -- but fucking Christ not THIS one. I'd rather have Palin than this person.

If the Republicans don't run Huntsman they will lose badly in 2012. All their other candidates have no appeal to moderates and are flat out insane. I actually hope Bachmann wins the nominations; her love affair with revisionist history is comical and Obama is OP in debates. With that being said, Obama 2012.

I'm surprised i actually agree with quite alot of Ron Paul's policies (excluding his views on fiscal policy as per all republicans).
As usual alot of the republican candidates sound, act and look like fruit loops.
I bloody well hope Ron Paul wins the presidential candidacy, cause if someone like Bachmann does OH MY GOD kill me now.

Can anyone translate this into international English? Primarily Asian/European timezone right now
I dont understand
edit: Also, did anyone catch that OP is barack obama lol

To keep it relevant too so I don't get banned, here are some politically relevant bullshit quotes from her:
"Literally, if we took away the minimum wage—if conceivably it was gone—we could potentially virtually wipe out unemployment completely because we would be able to offer jobs at whatever level." —Michele Bachmann, 1/26/05, Jobs, Energy and Community Development Committee, testifying against SF 3, a bill to raise the MN minimum wage and advocating the elimination of the minimum wage altogether..
"Iran is the troublemaker trying to tip over apple carts all over Baghdad right now because they want America to pull out. And you know why? It’s because they’ve already decided, that they’re going to territory, they’re- they’re going to partition Iraq and half of Iraq, the western northern portion of Iraq is going to be called, the United, uh, uh, the, the uh, -oh, I’m sorry, I can’t remember the actual name of it now, but it’s going to be called, um, uh, the, the, uh, uh the Iraq State of Islam, something like that. And I-I’m sorry, I-I don’t have the official name, but it is meant to be the training ground for the terrorists. There’s already an agreement made; they’re going to get half of Iraq and that is going to be a –a terrorist free,-a terrorist safe haven zone." - February 9, 2007, interview with Larry Schumacher, St Cloud Times. Well it's quite likely the pro-Palin or pro-Bachmann votes are Democrat supporters...

Romney is only appealing to moderates and some big-money people in the party. Perry will likely be able to hide his crazy well enough to convince general election voters the he's reasonable. Actually, Bachmann has been doing a reasonable job hiding her crazy since she announced (Ed Rollins is really earning his pay), but the tapes/interviews will come out in the general.
On the off chance that this is a serious poll, I vote for whoever has the least chance of winning the general election. Of the likely nominees, Bachmann seems like the least electable.

I never saw Pawlenty with a lead in the polls or even on Intrade. He was second behind Romney for a while, but he and Romney were competing for the centrist wing.
Also Romney does believe in evolution and does not believe intelligent design should be taught in science classes.

Most likely they are trolls.
EDIT: Apparantly not.

So...when are you going to make the "bachman quotes" website? PLEASE!

If I have to vote for Obama I'll do it so Bachmann doesn't win
Probably just going to vote Democrat next year anyway. I'm not happy with the Republican party at all as of late. I don't get why the Republicans & pundits are pretty much ignoring Ron Paul
|
|
Why do people on the internet love Ron Paul so much. The guy is insane. Having him for president would be a distaster.
Not as bad as Bachman i suppose because when the people burn down the country it's less scary then when the religious state burns it down.
Still i prefer my state unburned.
Anyway, the republicans are complete idiots if they put anyone other then Romney forward. They can have this election in the bag, why the hell would they risk it with a crazy like Palin, Bachman or Ron Paul.
The only reason anyone would want to see those people put forward is so that Obama can get re-elected without breaking a sweat.
|
Idk if anyone watched the Daily Show yesterday but there was a segment on how the media is pretty much ignoring Ron Paul, who seems to be the only republican I could see myself voting for. I hope he wins the nomination, but I unfortunately can't see it happening.
|
I want perry or bachman to win just because I can sleep soundly knowing the republicans won't have the president (ANYMORE THAN THEY ALREADY DO LOL).
|
At this point I have just flat out lost all faith in Americans to not vote like inbred retards. I mean seriously? After 3+ elections of utterly terrible choices, things are not only not improving but actually managing to get worse.
......Wow..just wow. I honestly don't get how anyone who isn't legally insane can take candidates like Bachmann seriously. Yet another year of choosing between the lesser of two dumbasses.
|
My knowledge of U.S. politics and the coming presidential nominations comes from a very limited number of sources. I was under the impression that Romney was considered the strongest candidate while Bachmann is similar to Palin in 2009, but Bachmann perhaps fares better in debates.
It's kind of interesting to follow all of this, but it is difficult to get a realistic picture of all of this as a foreigner.
