all the qualities that you mention(all very good stuff if i may add) could be said by ALOT of streamers. A fanbase should not dictate who get's featured. + reading that she has around 1500 viewers normally would indicate that she wouldn't even need it(most featured never even reach those numbers in the first place)

Why megumixbear should be featured? TeamLiquid hosts streams of the most respected SC2 pro gamers in the world, however simply watching some of these streams can become repetitive and boring. Megumixbear brings something different to the table, sure she isn't GM and she may never be. She is still better than 90% of the audience that watches her. Too many streams feature nothing more than a great player laddering and terrible music in the background. With megumixbear you get great commentary and interesting gameplay. With constant features of pro games such as ROOTDestiny, SixjaxDDE and others coaching during gameplay I would say that there is no other stream where the average player can learn more in a few hours of watching. I would challenge anyone at TL to site a specific reason as to why she is now un-featured, while so many others who are featured bring nothing unique to the table. While she should be featured based on sheer volume of interest, more importantly she should be featured for adding to the community of SC2. I've said my peace..... hopefully someone of influence will read this board and realize the error made and correct it, however if not megumixbear will continue to be a highly viewed stream. PS I am a little drunk and if there are some grammatical errors please forgive

I wouldn't have opened a thread campaigning for her, but I thought with unfeaturing her it was at least fair, as one of her fans, to ask for more of an explanation. I'm not trying to start drama and don't plan on a huge argument but she was featured previously and was pretty upset over her changed status and she is definitely a quality stream for various reasons. In no way did i see this as you trying to make any sort of drama, and website feedback is the totally correct place to post this, so don't get me wrong. My point was more general about "wating X to be featured" than about her, she is just the most recent excample. It's just a returning "discussion" about who deserves what for whatever reason, and therefore i feel that it should 100% be something the Staff decides. Regarding a explanation i'm sure the person(s) who decide to unfeature her will post here when they see it

I get the feeling that TeamLiquid is going through a professionalization phase, and trying to make things more professional. They've made the rules more strict with the launch of SC2, back in Brood War, posting rules were much more relaxed and what not. I can't find it now, but there was a thread where Artosis complained about the balance of Brood War maps, and iNcontroL literally posted 4 responses ALL in caps, while Machine did nothing but post image memes calling the thread/Artosis stupid. Actually here it is: http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?topic_id=70545 Also, Megumi isn't the first person to be unfeatured, Boesthius (long time TL banling) has been unfeatured, I get the feeling it had to do with how they got featured in the first place. Were they featured because they deserved to be featured, or were they featured because they knew someone who got them featured. (Not saying that they did something underhanded or bad, or bribed their way into featured status). I get the feeling that TL is ensuring that everyone who is featured earned/deserve their featured status and de-featuring those who didn't go about getting featured the way everyone else does. Again, just a guess, I could be totally wrong with my guess, but I feel that may be the best guess at the moment, because she is one of those featured streamers that does have a consistent viewerbase and what not.

It all makes sense now. | ||

From what I understand, they've basically removed every stream that isn't at least grand masters or isn't SC2 (regardless of player ability in non-SC2 games). They're also re-evaluating the criteria for featured independent of that. My 2c: Make being featured contingent on being a decent member of TL above all else.

I just dont see any consistency with TL moderation when it comes to streams being "featured"

Then have 2 "streams of the week" for popular streams that don't yet meet quality requirements or are under review on whether to become featured.

Edit: Also let's think. I know that other people are being unfeatured and it has to do with people being featured from the early times when it was a big deal to just to have quality gameplay being streamed. Now that streaming has become the 'thing,' things need to get categorized some and people who were popular when the game first came out, but don't do much now, need to be unfeatured because they may not necessarily be holding the same quality as before. Perhaps even now, there's even high quality content out there and by limiting the featured streamers, it helps put more focus on them.
