It's Gosu eSports, working in conjunction with the NE-SE, is pleased to announce the official details concerning what it hopes will be the first in a far reaching series of landmark invitational events, The It's Gosu eSports Invitational #1.
The inaugural event of the It's Gosu Invitational Series will feature a $1,750 prizepool, and will pit 64 of the best Starcraft II players on the planet against each other in a single elimination bracket stretching across two days, August 10th-August 11th.
The event will be streamed on the official It's Gosu eSports stream both days, with the field playing itself down to the Round of 8 on August 10th, and the remaining quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals being broadcasted on August 11th.
The stream will be hosted by lead It's Gosu caster and Team GoSu Executive Manager Aaron "Ayesee" Chambers, who will be joined in casting by Team GoSu Manager Scott "Rumcake" Ball.
Competing players will be announced in bursts leading up to the event. 16 players will be announced August 5th, 16 on August 7th, and 16 on both August 8th and 9th.
This event has been made possible by the continued support of lead sponsor NE-SE, which has recently been the subject of much discussion and excitement following the prominent announcement of their own in-house tournament structure and plans on Blizzard's Facebook page, as well as Blizzard's running SC2 blog.
The National E-Sports Event (NE-SE) is an open league designed to revolve around the average to above average players as well as professionals. The system allows all players the ability to earn moderate to large sums of money competing in the video games they play all the time, right from their own homes.
