I'm so confused as to what to do. in my experience as a former meching terran mech is actually awful against zerg, if they are going thor hellion infestors neural parasite RAPES thors and fungal growth RAPES hellions and then the roaches clean up the rest if they are going more tank heavy it's going to take a long time for the tank count to get scary enough to where terran can push out and by that time you should be set with broodlords which are amazing against heavy tank play as a terran player i've completely given up on pure mech i just dont think it's as good as biomech or marine tank p.s. counter attacks with roaches are really good against mech aswell | ||

Heres's the replay. Yh seems like the consensus is to go roach infestor and use neural vs thors and fungal vs hellions. I guess i can take more bases if there turtling really hard. Thanks guys. Any more feedback is greatly appreciated. | ||

Instead, just make a ton of infested terrans and cast one fungal on the thors. The thors are too slow to run away, and you are able to kill every single one of them with your infested Terrans. Your roaches should be able to clean up the rest. | ||

Another piece of bad advice. Just disregard this. Infested terrans are light, they die easily to BF hellions. NP is your best friend. And why for god sake FG on thors? From what do I run? Thor has 400 hp and is really slow. I really want him dealing as much damage as it can, instead of moving him around and wasting all potential damage. | ||

This is right. Roach infestor is pretty much the only way to deal with hellions and a critical mass of thors. And you need NP. Once the main and nat start mining out Z will get an advantage in that the immobility if thors makes defending outlying expansions much harder, so counterattacks on those expos become more effective. | ||
