EPTThe post and posters aren't offensive or anything, but they simply derail the topic. I skimmed over the Ten Commandments before typing this thread, and it didn't have any special mention of derailing, although you could twist the words a little to make the Ten Commandments apply to derailing. If I didn't explain myself enough, here are some examples.

I really do not need to go on because this has been happening since the first female only tournament. Since Teamliquid is an awesome community relative to other public forums, people actually called out the derailers telling them that they were derailing. This wasn't the case when those first female tournament threads popped up. If I recall correctly, one had to be closed (I don't know if it was remade.) because of the like 50 pages of off-topic discussion.

Luckily, most posters who shit on IdrA in his fanclub do it very offensively, so you could just report it without hesitation, but there are a few cases where it is sketchy. I guess you could report these posts, but this is why I made the thread: clarification

Well, it isn't something overly offensive, and I would guess judgements on these two posts would be different between different moderators which is fine. But could I just report him for derailing the thread? I don't get why posters have the need to go into IdrA's Fanclub and post bad about him. Constructive criticism is fine...but this? As IdrA's #1 Fan, I don't give a shit when people hate on him, but if they go into the Fanclub and talk shit...it just gets pretty dumb after a few months.
And I'm sure this problem plagues many threads. But before I go reporting, I'd like to make sure that it would be okay. The last thing I'd want to do is to report a post that isn't report-worthy. Maybe the answer is obvious, but I always like to be 100% sure when it comes to using my report function.
edit: wow, right after i post this, a mod banner appears on top of idra's fanclub pretty much solving my question. oh well i guess an answer could still be used for other threads
