Holy shit, it is June 10th and this is still happening? I thought TL would've got over that about 3 months ago.

It's silly that the discussion always ends up going in that direction, but moderating the issue seems difficult, since it requires a judgment call based on the severity of the potentially offensive comment.
You could warn/ ban users or close threads for gender-inflammatory comments, but I'm not sure this is the best option; this would likely need a mod warning on every female tourney thread, to inform people that the topic cannot be addressed (even in a civil manner).
If someone created a centralized thread (would have to be quite an OP) for the issue, for debate/discussion. Posts on the subject would be able to be directed to this thread, giving moderators a simple/ consistent process, without needing to make a personal judgement call, for punishment of these type of posts in normal tourney threads.
As more of these female exclusive tournaments pop up, this issue will probably get worse before it gets better.
I don't think it'd be that difficult to moderate the thread. Warn people who try to bring up the topic in a civil manner, ban those who are just making flame comments. After about 2 or 3 pages of that just throw out temp bans like candy to any of those who try to derail the topic, civil or not. A mod warning at the top of the thread wouldn't be needed because if they cannot see that people are getting warned and banned for something they're about to post, then that is their fault.
I'd rather them not use mod warnings for something so obvious; it makes it seem like TeamLiquid posters have to be babysat through posting rather than using common sense.
